  • We arent doing anything then, family will be around with my pressies , cards , cake etc. In stead im going out with hubby and the kids on wednesday, shopping (hubby always gives me money to get what i want plus a small gift to open on the day), we will go to york or nottingham not finallised it yet. Then out for lunch- betties if in york . sort of a combined day out / shopping trip this year.

  • Hey ladies, I have only just discovered this thread and its FAB! You are all putting in so much work, you should all be soooo proud. Is it ok if I join? Could do with sorting the house out and will be so lovely having a chilled christmas and not running round like a loony. I have a list (sorry its late, as I said, have only just found you all!). Ok here goes........

    1. Put away all washed clothes, its a MASSIVE pile!
    2. Clean inside windows upstairs
    3. Clean under sofas and under cushions
    4. Put summer clothes in attic
    5. Clean banister (have 3 cats that jump through it so it gets very dirty)
    6. Sort out junk/mail/general disgrace drawer in kitchen
    7. Sort out what I have for hampers so far so I know what else need to be bought
    8. Send off a postal order for a debt we have
    9. Buy a halloween costume for DS
    10. Buy sweets for trick or treaters

I think thats about it for this week, however if my ex hubby gives me his maintainence I will also be doing these -

    11. Buy baileys for MIL christmas present
    12. Buy beer for FIL christmas present

If I manage these then my treat will be a hot chocolate and a kitkat (am on healthy eating as me and my other half are trying for a baby).
Good luck everyone and thanks again for this thread, I LOVE it! xxxxx

    Deadline = friday
Reward = 'Christmas with the cranks' with a chinese.

Only did half my list last week but if I hadn't have done the list I would have done NOTHING! so thumbs up for the lists - they are really helping.:T

Bought some bits and bobs for hampers today, was with MIL and was eyeing up all the stuff she was looking at. I got some whittards of chelsea chocolates that should have been £5 marked down to £2.50, quite a lot to pay for chocs but they're dead posh ones and she'll go wild for them and I'm still within budget...also bought a little victorian decoration that my husband passed me and he said we should put my mothers photo in it and hang it on the tree so that brought a tear to my eye that he thought of that.

also got a peter pan that flys round the ceiling reduced to £4 from like £15 or something so that was a bargain too. Am pleased with present buying - don't have much left to get - and all still within budget.:D :xmassmile
