Have an amazing holiday Sarah and work that hubby
You're a nutter but i'll miss you!!
I love having all these new people on board. You make me feel all energised to do some more jobs. Hi new peopleDon't forget to check out the first post and then ignore all the rest because it is a bunch of grown women getting too excited over christmas
Great to see you here sharing Christmas with us.
jamtart that sounds like a VERY nice jumper and also at the price it would have been too rude not to buy it there and then.
Kalojac, heard the link on youtube and thought to myself "That singer is amazing I love his voice"..I come back and re-read your post..guess what.. that's the one your husband is.. lucky woman!!Love the band.. just my sort of music!
maria and the imps big smack to you for being late. Come here so I can smack your bum. *gives you a massive hug*. Hows your organising coming along? Most of my list is carried from last week so don't sweat it.. where's your treat!!
shevs.. whats all them lines on your list... what do they mean?!!! You surely haven't finished?! Stop putting me to shame woman!!
Triggles You sound like you're getting in to the spirit now with your fight talk. Come on lets kick Christmas's !!! and get organised! looming is the correct word haha.
Gill/Tigger 888 Wish I could see some hills! All I can see are houses and houses and chavs. Did I just say the 'C' Word?!! My son asked me the other night if he could have snow for christmas and begged me to make it snow. I would do it but next he will be asking for a moon on a stick so ya know..:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
Hey RoxieW That's like peeking at presents before christmas.. was you one of those girls who carefully unwrapped everything took a look with your sister and then carefully placed them all back never to cause suspicion.. or was that just me>?!
mum2one if you join the WHSmith advantage club (online) they give you a set of vouchers to print there and then. One of them being 5 off a 10pounds book. Could come in handy for your mother who you love very much
addictedtolush I tried to sound cool but now you have read the whole thread I fear you know too much and may have to eradicate you or something LOL Husbands are ALWAYS a bad influence especially when it comes to diets!! What is it with men?!
clare+3 As of yet, there are no men on this "organised christmas" thread.. hmm seems odd...Here is a link to snowman soup: http://organizedchristmas.com/snowman-soup
They're great little add-ons for kids pressies or to take to christmas fayres. I personally think it is cruel to drink snowmen as I was traumatised watching the snowman melt when I was little.
Emminentely - Can you see scattymam heading for the hills? That is how organised we are. I think there is no better way then writing a load of names in a notepad and sticking ideas next to them. Don't feel you need to follow organizedchristmas. We just use it as an excuse to be in this thread togethre
furrypig thanks so much for telling me it was day one. I didn't know that and I think I will start that plan because I have made NO progress on the grand plan. Feel a bit like a failure but it has seemed to be one thing after another in this houseDon't forget your ten list!!
scattymam the chocolates sound really nice so well done on getting a good bargain. I bet they will look so good in the hamper and add value to the look of everything else. For goodness sake though.. will you stop stressing me outhahaha *runs off to look busy*

Okay - that's it - I'm getting things done today!
1. Put card patterns on ebay for sale.
2. Go through Christmas gifts in sideboard and double check what's been bought and what hasn't.
3. Adjust Christmas list as we changed our mind about what we were going to buy for a few people.
4. Put baby clothing on ebay for sale.
5. Spend an hour this evening working on getting more Amazon vouchers to help pay for Christmas gifts.
6. Get out Christmas cds and put in small cd holder to keep out to use.
7. Get out Christmas dvds from storage box so they'll be available to watch soon.
8. Clean up dining room as plasterer is coming to redo dining room ceiling tomorrow!
9. Put together shopping list for Christmas cakes.
10. Read through recipe for Christmas pudding and decide if I'm up to it this year.
That should have me well on the way to progress. I may not get it all done, but at least I'll feel like I'm moving forward! Christmas is no longer sneaking up - it's looming!
"5. Spend an hour this evening working on getting more Amazon vouchers to help pay for Christmas gifts."
Hi, I get most of my "stuff" (mainly books and dvds) presents from amazon, it's great now there is only £5 to spend and get free del. but I was surprised to see that you can get amazon vouchers. I also tried to find codes for amazon but with no luck.
I am getting the new Nigella cookbook, Valentine Warner cookbook, 4 calendars and a couple of bbc period drama dvds. But if I could save a bit on all that - that would be marvellous!!!
And to all the lovely ladies here - it's really great to see how you are getting on - it's very inspiring and helpful. I cannot do the "weekly list of things to do" as we are still busy in the garden with the remaining veg in the ground and the frosts are coming tomorow - noooo - not yet... Anyhow, we have to do all that first and going to work, and all the rest that comes with our everyday existence, but I have all the christmas cards DONE - hooray and got a few bits for the two Halloween hampers I'm doing for the first time this year (again big thank you to RoxieW for her wonderful and very helpful ideas:T)
lots of love and sparkle to everyone

Hiya Mel.
Not finished just yet still have more things to get done and I know for a fact that I am not going to get my car washed this week. It is a right state. I am going to my mum and dads tonight to clear the boot and keep it in their garage. They will be out so will only find out when I am safely back home at my flat ha ha ha ha. But to be fair to you all I think that I am the only person on this thread that doesnt have children so I have all my free time to myself to get everything sorted so a big well done to all you mums for getting so organised for christmas aswell as looking after the kids xxxxx0 -

Regarding the Amazon vouchers - I go to a website called bingoport that has slots and bingo that you play for points (you get the points by posting on the forum and spinning a wheel - so it doesn't cost any money). Then I use the points and play the slots machine. Then when you've earned enough points you can redeem them for vouchers for a few bingo places or amazon. I won a few times yesterday on the slots machine and put them aside to redeem for £20 worth of vouchers which will be redeemed on wednesday night and I'll get the code by email on Thursday. It's great, as I like playing slots but it doesn't cost anything and I get to use anything I win to buy presents for Christmas. I've done this for over £70 worth of Christmas presents so far. And the vouchers are good for a year, so I'm going to be putting them aside for next year as well starting in january.
We love to watch movies in our house, so when we've wanted to buy one, I try to win the points adn we buy it with a voucher instead so it's either cheaper or free. :j
Just so you know, I'm not advertising or anything - I just really love the site and the fact that I can finance some of my christmas presents this way!MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -

yoohoo triggles - if you go into advanced when writing your post and it's the very right hand button which has an S with a line through it - that's what you use at the beginning and end of your line (it's called 'wrap [strike]tags around selected text' if you hover your cursor over it).0
