This is a wonderful thread! I've been reading for a few days now. There's no way I can read it all, but I love what you're all trying to do!
I've already started panicking about Christmas. It's the same every year - in about early September I have a first think about it and think I'm going to be really organised, then suddenly here we are, nearly at the end of Oct and I think lurch straight into "OMG! So much to do - so little time - it's all going to be a complete disaster!"
In common with a lot of you, I guess, the bulk of the organsing falls to me, but with 8.5 (is that right?!) weeks to go I'm going to try not to be so defeatist and actually get on and make some progress!
Main thing for me is to sort out pressies for my two DSs - DS1 has chosen something which I think is a)too expensive and b) he doesn't need. DS2 says it's too early to be thinking about Christmas - have tried explaining that the shops will just be getting busier and busier, but he didn't seem bothered!
So, "Hello!" :hello:to all you mega organised Ladies ( I don't think I've come across any postings from men, apologies if there are some chaps on this thread!). I'll be reading about what you've all done.
Ooh, one thing intrigues me - what's "Snowman soup"?!
Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the warm welcome pinkladymel, I have read the whole thread and I am loving the organized christmas site, took me a while to get my bearings though! I am not sure if I will have a extra xmas surprise as I have only just come off my depo and have been warned it may take a good while.....will have fun trying though :-)
EMminently - For my list I didn't really follow the planner on the site, I just looked round the house and thought of all the jobs I never really do. And of course added some xmas jobs in there too. I just think that any job that gets done is one less to think about, even little tiny ones.
Scattmam - Sounds like you had a good shop today and thought the idea from your hubby was so lovely, how thoughtful. 59 days sounds sooooo much less than 60 if that makes sense!!
Furrypig - Well done on last week and good luck for this one!!
Thanks again girls for having me, am sure you will regret it ;-)
Have had a VERY lazy day watching films and eating too much rubbish but looking forward to cracking on tomorrow as DS is with his dad until Tuesday night. Does anyone else seem more motivated when your other half is at work as I certainly do! Hes a bad influence and I never seem to get ANYTHING done.....roll on tomorrow!! xxx

Kalojac I see you have a musical husband, what does he play? My other half drives me mental on his drums. I got him a silent kit and he somehow manages to still give me a headache! Looks like you got a few bargains there so well done
He plays guitar and sings, they are probably heavy rock, they play some of their own stuff and some covers. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=B6RSHQZDibM
Hi addictedtolush, welcome to the thread, I'm sure you'll pick up lots of ideas and be super organised come xmas. Hi also to clare+3 I also wondered what snowman soup was, think I've maybe missed a post further up. :santa2:
I cheated a bit today girls, I went to Tesco bought the sweetie bargains, and laid them out on the living room rug, with cellobags and got the boys to fill them, but I'm still crossing it off my to-do list :rotfl:
Think that's about all I have taken off my list so far. Good luck everyone else xx0 -
*Moan whinge moan whinge moan* - I'm photographing and writing descriptions for eBay to be listed on Tuesday. An item on this week's list - I've been putting it off for ages, but I needed to de-clutter and need the money for xmas !!Its a job I hate doing though!!
Pinkladymel - it was a nice cream jumper, £6 so was basically a bargain, and I figured I'd done all my xmas related stuff on the list so the reports for college didn't really count!
