Morning and thanks for the welcome mum2one

    Ok so my list!!!

1)fit the double doors between old kitchen (new dining room) and living room
2)chip all the plaster of round the front room door
    3)call and organise plasterer
4)fit plasterboard and insulation to the stud work
5)choose curtain material and buy it!
    6)fit loft conversion staircase
7)write 20 Christmas cards and wrap the 5 presents I have alreaddy bought.
    8)write present list
9)open door to cupboard of doom and do the ironing that I have hidden inside
10)Try and remember that I am of sick and am not supposed to be overdoing it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :A

Before you all decide I am mad we have been putting an extension on our house for 3 years and are now in the final (ish!) stages and I want it done not including the loft conversion by christmas!!! My wonderful OH who has done an awful lot of the work himself has promised that the new kitchen will be installed and useable by Christmas.
Most of the jobs 1-4 & 6 are already jobs in progress that just need to be finished!
Must admit that jobs 1-4 and 6 are jobs that I will assisst hubby with by handing him tools and making copious amounts of tea and bacon sandwiches.
5 I have to get hubby to come to the fabric shop because if I go and buy on my own he will complain after that he doesn't like them.
7-10 are jobs just for me

I think I am going to have to save the last one on my list till the weekend. When I get home from work it is nearly night time and nobody wants to wash there car in the dark. So Saturday morning if it's nice i'll get a bucket and sponge on the go, if it's raining i'll take it a car wash

you could putthem in envelope, wrap the envelope in nice paper, then put into a shoe box stuffed with tissue paper and wrap. You could perhaps put something, small gift - in the box to add some weight.

Or put in card, in envelope, wrap nicely then tie on a string and attach to a helium balloon.:D put balloon in a box so when it is opened it escapes (just mke sure they open gift in house or you may never see it again:rotfl: :rotfl: )

I like these ideas!!! They just make opening it a bit more fun! I might do a pass the parcel for one, then a balloon for another and a poem with it for another :D:T Thanks SM!

Hi everyone - I've been hooked on this thread since the lovely pinkladymel started it - and what a great thing it is, anyhow before I start writing too much I would like to ask RoxieW about the halloween hampers. I will be doing them for the first time this year and I am not certain what to put in them as they are not for kids but for adults(late 40s and 30s). I haven't got a clue. I know this is not christmasy stuff but for me it sort of is as it is like the christmas knocking on the door (start listening to the music and watching christmassy dvds, my ultimate song for christmas is Wham Last christmas - looove that one :rotfl:)
Got the OC grandplan going - huuuge thanks to pinkladymel - for the first time I've been saved from "the pre-christmas get it all ready on time" maddness.:T
Lots of love and sparkle to ya all. xxx

Couldn't find mini marshmallows for my rocky road recipe so had to cut big ones with scissors. Can you imagine - very sticky and I couldn't get them very small. Felt realy silly.
