  • morning,
didnt realise its clocks back this weekend, thanks for that sarah. That really does make it the start of winter to me. Dark mornings , dark early , get home and snuggled in....oh...christmas is a coming....

Well managed to get all but a tiny bit of my jobs one. Took the bull by the horns so to speak and dived into the kitchen cupboards. Honestly they were disgusting. It took me nearly 3 hours but now they are half empty and sparklingly clean. Looks like a show cupboard now,(shame i have another one on next weeks list!!). Got my food list done last night and phone call of my mother double checking that we are going for xmas lunch(again) but forgot to ask what contribution she would like towards it, have to find out later.
One basket still to wrap but cant do before tonight as sweets not bought yet. But really pleased with myself. if i hadnt posted on here i wouldnt have done half of it. Thanks everyone. Hope you all are getting on well with yours.
    Post a new list later.

    UPDATE...

So today, I HAVE to do the trunk of doom & the OVEN (although my mam just got a new kitchen in, with new everything, so she was giving away her old oven cleaning stuff yesterday, so that should ease the burden/work)

If I do that today I am definitely having my reward tonight!

I think I forgot to do my bedroom windows. When I was in there last night there was the biggest spider web, (hate spiders, so can't leave it for the halloween effect):rotfl: - so will do that today too. Kalojac x

    Hi Sarah :santa2:

The Ginger Breadman Garland is so easy to make. You can make it with either real ginger bread but it will go off or with salt dough. I am making it with salt dough and adding some coco powder to make them more realistic. I also have a ginger bread house cookie cutter so I am doing it in alternate. House, man, house, man.

I have white poster paint for the eyes smile and buttons for the men and the snow on the house and glittery red paint for the house as well. when its all dry I am going to cover them in P.V.A. glue as t dry's clear and gives it a really nice glossy look. Oh but remeber before you bake them put a whole in the hands so you can tie ribbon through when its finished.

Have you seen that they have Santas grotto up in the Arndale??

They sound lovely, do you just string them along the ribbon then? if so then all i will need is that and I can make some, might even let the kiddies help make them this weekend keep them busy while me and OH get organised for the hols.

Haven't managed town yet, will have to go and see all the lights and the grotto soon, may take the kids for a walk round a week on monday on the way back from the hols as we will have to come through Manchester to get home.

Yeah you just string them along the ribbon then put them where ever you want. If I figure out how to put pics up on the web I will post pics of the finished product xxx
