Hello All

I have cleaned in the living room, our bedroom and freecycled a load of little ones toys and am hoping i can sell a few pieces on ebay - ie i have a pair fo leathers from befor elittle one was born and in no way shape or form will i ever fit in them again - the jacket i can get on but thanks to Benji i went form a C cup to a GG when i was pregnant and am now at D/E so the coat wont fit unless breathing stops  so think i will sell them - even if i get £50 for them it cna go towards Xmas presents - Ive got £100 stashed away so far but am looking like ill need about £550 by Xmas so am on the look out for bargains etc before then!
Although did have some sad news in that I was making doggy treats for Xmas only for my sister in laws pooch to pass away two days ago :A sad that hes gone but he was deaf, blind, riddled with hernias all the time etc and was still only a young one at 7 years old. OOh I do get such a warm feeling when I read this thread - there is definitely a lot of Christmas spirit here - I wish you all lived closer so we could have Organized Christmas meetings!
I too was worried about the 'down' after Christmas and mentally started compiling a list of things to look forward to. So far I have:-- The January sales
- DD2 starting nursery in January (although sometimes that's on my sad list but not today!)
- Starting to organise Christmas 2009
Pinkladymel - thank you for your kinds words - DD2 had been a nightmare yesterday so it was lovely to be cheered up like that.
Sarah :rotfl: your family obviously know you very well - can't believe you had to buy coffe at the end of January!!
Sammy_kaye - I know that feeling of having to let go of pre-pregnancy clothes - our bodies are never the same again! And RIP Georgie - hope you can find a good home for your doggie treats.
Amyway, better get on - no OC plans for today - just need to get the kids out for some fresh air while the rain is off - went a bit stir crazy yesterday! The great declutter 2010Money neutral and thrifty gifty for Christmas 2010 :xmassmile0 -
Hi everyone - I LOVE this thread!!!!! My family have had a rough year and we are just coming through it now so I have decided to follow the organised christmas site with my three girls 17, 15 and 11. Funnily enough all three are up for it - I think it will bring us closer planning and doing things together etc. Have bought us all a file each and we will decorate them today, print out some planners and delegate jobs and brainstorm ideas. I will be following this thread regularly!
The lady that makes the tardis cuddle cushions...what are they like and would you consider making them to sell??!!! I have a doctor who fan here!!!!
Thanks guys for a fabulously spirited thread full of likeminded peeps!

Sammy Kaye I am so sad to hear about the dog. It is always sad with pets.. they are like family you can choose yourself. I hope you can get back into the swing of things with christmas organising. Don't worry at all about falling behind.. we're very much a drop in and out thread haha!!
mum2one I thing we share the same views about christmas and that is probably why we all get along so well on this thread. I love the way the dates in your life have worked out and your daughter must be so special to your mom and dad too x
Sarah I think you are absolutely crazy. This is coming from someone who HATES coffeeMy friend bought my husband some things from Starbucks to make his own posh coffee so I made him one last night and I thought of you haha. I went all out and had chocolate milkshake whilst covering wooden sleighs in paper. I love the idea of a new thread I wonder how long it would keep going before everyone got sick of christmas and each other
Scattymam I think I would like to do the money neutral thing and follow your bargains and stories. I didn't know some of us was on there. I wish I was money neutral this year haha but oh well.. here is to next yearYou're a wonderful friend x

Welcome onboard
I have never made one before (Tardis cuddle cushion) and I haven't started one yet. All I was thinking of doing was using a dark blue fleece and cutting and sewing it to fit round a bed pillow, then sewing the detail on ie the windows etc and a little flashing light at the top.
Not sure if it will come out as I see it my head though as I haven't got a pattern, when i get round to making on will see how easy it is and let you know.
I can give you the link to the Adipose pattern if you want? they were a bit fiddley but look great when finished

oh damn you lot I post and more people post!!
highpriestessjustine I LOVE the idea of having daughters to help. That must be so wonderful to do together and the extra hands would sure be a help too.. want to send them here?Sounds like a wonderful christmas..makes me miss my christmasses at home
Gill I love your list and you have definitely helped me to prepare more mentally. I always forget to and find january so depressing as I LOVE christmas so much (don't know if you noticed?! lol) I really really laughed about your little one starting nursery and I know what you mean about the sad list. Logan started this september and we have never been apart since he was born. It was so hard for me to be without him.. particularly as my daughter kept pining for him but now.. I just am so happy for him and it has become my routine. He makes soup and plays with worms and he is happier for it:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
