I have had a massive clear out of mine & BF's stuff this weekend, so feel a lot better for that. Also got done some of my HM pressies. I made 4 ruddie and truddie reindeer flannels, and also got some gingerbreadman garlands done. so all in all im pretty pleased.
I have been dying to watch my Christmas films but have told myself I must wait till the first of December but I have found a loop hole. I can watch the Nightmare before Christmas because it is also about Halloween which is coming up. Oh happy days0 -
Just got back from weekly shop - daughter behaved impeccably today, can't believe it, her nursery teachers are miracle workers that's all I can say. Just bought all the stuff to make fudge with so going to have a try - and bought some tesco christmas little cakes and crispy cakes - dead cute - putting away in cupboard. Making a bolognese to put in freezer today, daughter likes to have little portions for her lunches so that will keep her going for a couple of weeks before christmas. Am going to start bathroom today but still have tons to do in master bedroom.
Really want to get started on crafts as it does say we should be doing an hour a day on this. Will really try to start this tonight...have a good day everyone. xxx0 -
pinkladymel - how many days to go now? Is it too early to start counting down every day?!
Never too early, I have google as my homepage and it's had a countdown to Xmas since Jan 1st!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (86 days btw)
I'm finally getting somewhere, got cake in the oven and made 7 meals to freeze today (ok, i lied, the slow clooker made 7 meals to freeze today) :T :T :T :T0 -
Well I survived the Party, So its time to get stuck in. Will be going shopping this morning (Buying Craft Supplies/ Food) and then will be getting stuck in.
Tidying isn't that bad apart from Master bedroom as it looks like a storeroom LOL. Just needs a bit of re arranging to tidy things away, but I want to wrap up a few more hampers today and sort through the kids clothes and toys ready to take to charity shop tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great day
Sarah

I must get some more meals done for the freezer too emay, What do you put yours in when they are ready?
I got some freezer tubs in Home Bargins the other day but they were only big enough for 1 portion. Was just wondering what people were using for a family meal Portion?:D:D:D:D

Morning all - glad you survived the party Sarah!
I too bought some freezer tubs from our local £pound store - I got little ones as well as medium sized ones (like the size a chinese takeaway comes in!) and three large ones. Normally I re-use my old margarine tubs (if it's something like stew or bolognaise).
Emay - thanks for that! My homepage is Yahoo! - I bet they've got something similar! The great declutter 2010Money neutral and thrifty gifty for Christmas 2010 :xmassmile0 -
I just bought some foil tubs yesterday too - my husband saw the tubs and said why don't you make some meals and freeze them to use when we're in a hurry or nearer christmas - DO! I was like yes husband that's why I bought them, sheesh.
Anyways, I bought the double ones cos they were only ones I could find and they'll do like half the batch, enough for about 2 portions I bag my daughters meals in freezer bags cos she only has small portions(3yrs old).
I actually got some craft stash out last night but got no further than looking at it!!! It was fun though.
Best get on then - hope everyone has a productive day xxx0 -
Planning on going to a big trade warehouse today that I have a card for - can look out for bargains, esp. on the look out for gift bags and tissue wrap, can't normally go as children have to be in a trolley and my daughter refuses, but she's at nursery this afternoon so...
but I'm saying I'll go only if I get X amount done in bedroom and bathroom.0 -
I use foil tubs as the other half puts them stright in the oven, and you can't the plastic ones. I put 1 serving per tub, mainly because I have my tea at work and other half gets in late and would just eat tinned meatballs every day if there wasn't a meal waiting for him!!!!!
Yesterday was actually the first time I've set out just to do meals to freeze I normally just make 2/3 more portions than I need and freeze the extra.0 -
God I am shattered! Too OH to work this morning and got cracked on with our spare room. We had a bed in there but it has been used 4 times in three years!
We have a large blow up bed so that will do if we have visitors. So the bed has been dismantled and back down to MIL's. OH's drum set is back down there from the loft and I have sorted through all the boxes and my craft stuff that was lurking under the bed. I only finished an hour ago!
Also have a HUGE pile of stuff im going to ebay. My aim is to make at least £50 for my Xmas fund so fingers crossed.:xmastree: :snow_laug Christmas Nutter :snow_laug:xmastree:0
