Hi
I've been lurking for a while, picking up all the great hints and tips you guys have been posting. I have to be organised this year as we have a new baby due on our DD's 5th Birthday - 4th December!
I wondered if anyone had any ideas if there were any offers or discounts on Christmas Cards and Wrap? I've normally bought 3 for 2's at M&S or Boots.
Any other hints and tips for DD's presents gratefully received. She's extremely into anything pink and girly.
Thanks
Rae
I've just ordered some extra wrap/cards from Ace, and as I registered as a new customer I should get the free tin of roses:T:T:T (will try not to eat them myself)Save me from spending...

I know what you mean about when the dark nights set in pinkladymel - you get less done on the evenings don't you cos you just want to curl up yourself and go to bed.
Had a fab day bargain christmas present wise. I went to a car boot sale today, got a shot glass drinking game that had a £6 price tag still on, never opened, for 50p so that will be someone's christmas present...and another polly pocket set for £2 to put away for my daughter. Then I found some christmas activity books that I can use for doing some christmas activities with my daughter in the run up to christmas for 10p each. Also got a huge barbie house for 50p but she's playing with that now(so I have a little bit of peace to come on here, husbands on xbox live and dog has just come into season so she's crashed in her bed...bliss)0 -
So people - i'm practicing making my christmas cookies tonight, and have two balls of dough in the fridge. I just wanted to confirm. I can freeze one ball can't I? And then thaw it over night when I want to use it? I meant to make my cookies chocolate chip - but forgot to put the cips in. LOL...

Well As predicted I have been running round like a headless chicken. I got my cake made, then had to fix the icing (as 4yr old son decided that he wanted to try it :rotfl: ) I've done all the food and tidying up :j Apart from the Washing up as my boiler has decided to stop working
Will have to boil the kettle a few time (At least it's an excuse to have a coffee while I'm busy LOL!!!)
Still not crossed anything off my lists in the christmas planner, but will get stuck in tomorrow when I don't need to worry about Parties!!!
Hope you all had productive weekends and have a nice day today!!!

sarahf19179 - I thought I got up early but you're always up earlier than me!! :rotfl: Hope the party goes well today.
Well I did nothing from the OC site last week but did manage to tidy one measly kitchen cupboard!
On the other hand I had a great day at the shops with my mum - I think that's about every gift bought that I need to - just the Santa present when my daughter has done her Santa letter!! Oh and the Mamma Mia DVD when it comes out!
OH made the most delicious Coq-au-Vin yesterday when I was out so there is a portion to go in the freezer for later use :j .
This week I am going to concentrate on my living room (bit scared as to what is lurking under the settee). And I am going to wrap the presents I have bought (making a list of what I have as I go) and start writing my Christmas cards.
Can I just say by the way well done to the people who are making your own cards :T - I may well give it a go next year.
pinkladymel - how many days to go now? Is it too early to start counting down every day?!The great declutter 2010Money neutral and thrifty gifty for Christmas 2010 :xmassmile0
