    Problem:

Hubby has almost all the decs up and i don;t feel festive..AT ALL. I mean there's nothing there. What can i do? I love xmas, help me get into the festive spirit

    PWEASE???

Ok firstly ould you like some of my Christmas pudding?? Can I send you a Christmas card?? What about putting on your fav' Christmas film and snuggling on the sofa with a cuppa snowman soup (aka hot choc) or something stronger!! Have you got any Christmas photos from previous years you can look at?? What about writing down all the things you love about Christmas?? Or start to put up some decs it is Dec tomorrow after all!!

Can you tell I'm very excited about it all!!!
  • chocolate orange, I really want to buy one of those aprons too but I don't think I can afford it yet. It looks such a good buy though as it appears to be handmade and I woud like to make someone happy by giving them a sale. Imagine selling something of your own that is handmade? It would feel brilliant. Do you have a HobbyCraft near you? or a Wyevale garden centre? They do little scrapbooking kits there that contain everything. Failing that, have you tried tuning into the crafting hours on QVC? This is where I find all the latest deals on nice crafting things: http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=10

Furrypig.. I am going to post my page on here every day. You are not allowed to share prompts but erm.. if I post my page and talk about it.. it's not my fault if you get some information? The actual class itself can be found at shimelle.com and is 15 pounds. Once you have joined you are in it every year for life. Get a journal made and be in it with me :) I just saw all your last replys.. you nutter lol. I am excited too hehehehehehehe

Scattymam, what is it with three year olds?! LOL I am glad you got a bargain and also.. the last thing on your list!! You will have to get a picture of your tree up when you get your camera sorted.. DISNEYYYY :D:D:D My payday is not until next friday either and isn't it A LONG time between the weeks??

mum2one you sound really organised now and I bet you feel good now you have that order in your hands and all checked over. It is beginning to look a lot like christmas :D Wish I was as organised as you!

BravoBeastie I have felt like that so many times. It is usually what happens if you look forward to something for so long and then when it finally comes you just don't really know how to feel. Put some christmas music on, watch some christmas films, take the kids out for a christmas fayre or something. Get yourself a christmas magazine. Just remember that in one month it will be all over and you will have to wait another 12 months for it all again. Do you want to waste this christmassy time or do you want to enjoy every last second of it before it goes too quick?

JordanShannon, anyone that uses that many Christmas Smileys in one post is more than welcome on this thread. I feel quite embarassed now that you read through 101 pages of my drivel but never mind :D What sort of a basket are you doing? have you got your cellophane yet?

Sarah YAY you are here!! Sounds like you have been doing so much wonderful christmas stuff you must really be in the festive spirit.. well.. if you know which way your head is screwed on with all them activities going on lol. Enjoy your cream on COFFEE....*roll eyes* let us see some pics :)

Clairealo Hiya.. why bottle out of joining us?? We're only a group of christmas obsessed maniacs? Don't forget that next year you will have your wedding to look forward to and with all the bustle of that you probably will be too dazed to worry about your first christmas alone too much. I would really recommend keeping a little diary of your christmas this year as I see so many people on here who move out and they can't think what it is that made christmas so special at home. Have you thought about making your family stockings in secret and then sneaking them on their door handles on christmas eve? That would be so exciting. How about pots of gold for boxing day? Remember to enjoy it the best you can xx

  • Thank you all for my lovely messages ! What a fab bunch you are !
It was a great start to Christmas for me...I also got to meet up with a family I worked for there 16 years ago and hadn't seen since...the 3 children I looked after are all young adults now and were great :D

It was all perfect and a bit overwhelming :o

I did at first feel I should up the stakes on OH's pressie, but I have now decided I am worth my beautiful ring, so he is still getting what he was always getting :rotfl: (which isn't bad...an electric guitar !)

Spurred on by you all I managed to wrap loads of pressies last night, and am about to drag the Christmas tree out of the garage so I can decorate with DS tomorrow after school :T

I hope you are all well and having a stress free weekend
  • Wow I just sneezed unexpectedly and it was one of those hand over nose.. handful of snot jobs.. Too much information.. I KNOW I KNOW!! Sounds bad.. but it gets worse.. I have got a nose bleed!! I haven't had one of them for about 15 years LOL

I am so excited about the fact that tomorrow is the 1st december.. Did you know we first started this thread on the 5th September? That is 86 days ago. I can't believe that in three weeks we will be counting the days and everything we have worked for.. all the stress and late hours will come together and just finally be completed. I don't know what I will do without having so much organising to get on with!

  • Well pinkladymel thats it ..... I just bought myself a christmas scrapbook kit off ebay !!!! Dont think i will get chance to make a start on it until after christmas though. I still have 301 things to do :( Including Christmas today ( this afternoon) with my cousin, his twins and all the family from here..Good opportunity to get some photos for my scrapbook page/ gifts. The twins are only 7 months old. So just at a nice age :)

When i am back later i am deffinately going to get a bid in on one of those aprons. Like you said imagine making someone smile at a sale of a handmade item... They are soooooooooo cute too !! I had a look at other items and theres a childrens one with a padded snowman on it ... Now if i just had a girl to buy for,i would bid on that too :)

Well i must dash.....Christmas Day number 1 ( the practise run ) is waiting.
    Back later
