Pinkladymel and Jamtart have you both signed up for the scrapbook daily thingy for December?? Will you be allowed to share any of the ideas or tips?? Should I pm you about it?? Is it dear to join?? Can't wait to see how it all goes! thanks for explaining the scrapbooking terms can't wait to see all your work for the apprentice too!
Choccie orange i like online shopping too. I wenrt into town today and it was already busy but I didn't have much to get so it was ok (i spent £1.99, daughter £0 and hubby £2.20!!). I am failing on our 2nd Chrimbo bingo card as haven't spent anything anywhere yet but have just had parcels from waterstones, play.com, debenhams and ebay!! Well done you and I promise to try harder!!0 -
oh my goodness I had the morning from hell trying to get a pair of boots for my daughter, there were too many distractions for her and so she threw the mother of all fits in the metro centre today - I tryed every bribe going, in the end I pinned her to the floor in primark to check if some boots fit - but they were cheap one pair was 3.50 and the other was £5.00 and very ugg styley. That was the last thing I have to shop for before christmas though and I am sooooooooooo glad for this - can you imagine how bad it would be shopping with an irate 3 yr old in the christmas rush.
To make it up to me my hubbie decided we should put the tree up today - so it's up - it is our disney tree but I can't take a photo yet cos I gave my dad back his camera that I've had on loan for months so I need to get ours fixed next week pronto so it's ready for christmas. Not much left to before christmas now - need to get a load of batteries in.0 -

Right, i have most of my presents bought (quite a few wrapped) festive dvd's for the kids (ok me really) no cards written but thats no biggy this year as apparently our school is going eco and requesting children send just ONE card to the entire class. That would be great if i hadn't already bought the cards in an MSE moment.
Problem:
Hubby has almost all the decs up and i don;t feel festive..AT ALL. I mean there's nothing there. What can i do? I love xmas, help me get into the festive spirit

Re Christmas Apron, it looks lovely, I got one from Peacocks, very christmasly, that was £2.50.
Been gd, wrapped some more presents, went through my odds and sods box, and made a few spare presents up.
Got my playboy suitcase and toilettry bag from Halfcost, v exicted, got mine, got one for dd, just waiting for 2 more, for some reason my mum wants one! and I've ordered one for best mates bday prezzie next yr.
Left to wrap - family prezzies, and the small food boxes. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Claire, I bet what ever you do will be special with your family! I know how you feel as last Christmas was my first ever in my own house andI have 2 kids and I'm twice your age!!!
Maybe you could keep some sort of journal about it to keep for the future?? This could take whatever form you wnated eg it could be a written diary, a video dary ot a scrapbook with photos and feelings etc jotted down in it??
Or what about doing a Christmas Eve hamper for everyone to enjoy some people are making them for adults/kids. Or plan a few fun evenings with christmas dvd's or decorating the tree/house together. What about a special breakfast prepared by you on Christmas day/eve/Boxing day or making mulled wine and singing carols together???
I don't know what you and your family mormally do together or what would work for you but hope this helps a bit!!0
