This year I am doing Shimelle Laines Scrapbooking class "Journal your christmas". Every day she emails you a prompt to make your page about and it encourages you to record and scrap every single day leading up to christmas. The book I made last year is so special.

It costs 10 pounds but once you join you are in it for life.

The only thing is.. say if some people here wanted to join.. and was't bothered about her forum.. and I posted you all a pic of my page every day.. you might accidentally see what the prompts are and not pay..?

Here is my book I made last night:

Wow Mel your decs are crazy mad fantastic and I'm loving them!! I particularly like the large reindeer and would love one of those!! I had to laugh at c3po in Christmas costume!!!

Your scrapbook is gorgeous and I wouild love to accidentally see what tips/things you need to add each day.

may I ask a few questions...
    what size is it??
Is it ring bound or just the usual top loading page type one??
Will I need lots of stash do you think?? (Prob not a problem as I keep buying all these gorgeous bits and pieces!)

    thanks in advance

  • I must say pinkladymel that looks amazing, i am very impressed that you are that organised already.
Hubby has put a ban on putting up decs till first weekend in december, he is very grumpy.
Well i have been quite productive this weekend, I have wrapped up all the presents, wrote out the christmas cards, wrapped up my mum's hamper and organised the turkey and christmas tree.
So i am feeling quite on top of things, which makes a change lol

    Thanks a lot guys xx

My hubby MADE me put ours up!! He is worth all the stress sometimes :D

My reindeer is something I saw and fell in love with 2 months ago. OMG he is beautiful. He is like animatronic and moves his head up and down and blinks like a lickle baby. Can you tell I am unhealthily in love with him??

The christmas Journal was a making memories book (from Hobbycraft) painted white. It is 8x8 and has pages already in there instead of protectors. It is post bound. What you need to consider is that you will be making a page every single day and some days get really busy in the run up to christmas. What size do you feel happy working in? What do you think you can manage? Start off a little box of christmas stash so you have it all right to hand every night. You might be suprised how much you already have.

    HTH :) xx

pinkladymel - spotted jack and sully - they are some of our faves too.

My hubbie has been busy this year buying the grolier disney ornaments on ebay and he got them out to show his mother tonight and she was NOT impressed - he was really huffed so I think I'll take a photo of our tree when it's up and post it here so he can see that some people will appreciate his dec's - we have all sorts from ranging from jack skellington, stitch, mickey, woody and tinkerbell, and many more.

Hubbie is going to do some wrapping tonight while I write and make cards.

pink lady mel = decorations are GORGEOUS!! Book is ever more GORGEOUSER!!! How did you make the book? Is it a 6x6 or just made from card AND AND AND...where do you get your letterings from - this is the thing I struggle with most! AND..... I have stamped 'HMV' on our Quidco Bingo card today hurrah! we're off the mark! :D

eBay is doing well so I am very happy about that tonight :D, bought a few birthday and xmas presents today, ordered a bit more off the net so hopefully I am on the way to being sorted by Dec 1st :D

ah well, couldnt manage everything on my list :( got about half (plus a few extras not on the list ;) so will have to make another trip next w/end or w/end after.

it wasnt terribly festive in town - no decs to speak of and no xmas tunes playing - was mightily disappointed!!
