Quick question.. Since i cant get the 7.50/mth offer as i live in an ''Unbundled Area'' will Quidco still give me the £60 if i sign up for the same package which costs £17.50 For O2 mobile customers and £22.50 all other customers.

I would assume so as that is the one that we are on too.

I spoke to o2 last week and apparently our exchange serves so many thousand (24 I think) houses and yet only does bt and another broadband! (he couldn't say which because of 'data protection'. He said it was apparently strange and he couldn't understand why it was only two?!) so basically everyone else aside from that 1 company is selling variations of BT's own packages.

    Hi,

    Quick question....

I have just joined O2 via the Quidco cashback site.

If anyone else on here also signed up via Quidco can I ask with what amount did your transaction track at?

My Quidco tracked but in the "Newest earnings" display it is saying:

    O2 tracked £0.00 Oct??

    Is this normal?

By the way currently with orange who offered me 6 months free then 6 months @ £5 per month.
They could not give £60 credit to go with it so said no.
They asked me how I wanted my MAC code email or Letter. I said email, the guy said it may take 3 - 5 days and I said fine.

After 15 minutes I received an email from them with my MAC code, now how quick is that!

    Many thanks,

    :j

I've had quidco track at 0 for deals before - then it later tracks at the appropriate amount - give it a day or so then submit an enquiry.

Am I right in saying your telephone line rental is through BT at £10.50?

Or is the £17.99 inclusive of line rental? I say this as Tiscali offer line rental and BB can be had for £16.24 a month!

I'd migrate away from Tiscali as over a year you'll now be paying £104.88 with them plus your line rental? whereas if you go through quidco (£90 cashback) and use an o2 PAYG sim and top it up it will be significantly cheaper.

Yes I pay BT line rental separate, however since I don't use my house phone much, I only pay just over £16 per quarter in line rental.

My MAC code came through within the hour :T I've got my eye on a cheap O2 PAYG mobile which I am buying tomorrow and then I will join the Quidco site and transfer to O2... here comes cheap broadband!

    I cannot wait!

    Kindest regards,

Just to point out - you don't need to buy a payg mobile, just get a sim card - they will send one free or go into an O2 shop and buy one with £10 of credit.

Just to note, my quidco tracked at £60 - ordered last night.

Well you may be OK initially buying a SIM card, but you have to give 02 a mobile number and credit that phone with £10 every quarter in order to get the £5 per month discount, so I don't see the point in just buying a SIM card with £10 credit and not using it. Therefore you need to add £3.33 per month to your annual costs. The £60 cashback helps in the first year and mine is tracking OK on Quidco. I still think it is a very good deal, free wireless router and no connection charge, plus free evening and weekend calls with BT. Daytime and overseas calls can still be routed via 1899 or 18185 etc. Plus it is only a 12 month contract, so there may be better deals around next year. Use Google mail for you email addresses and no problem with changing your ISP.

I think you've read too much into what I said - I bought a sim card instead of buying a payg mobile from O2 - my wife is going to use the sim card for her phone, plus she will get £30 worth of calls for transferring her number to O2.

I made the comment so that the poster didn't think he had to buy a payg mobile - as the way O2's site is set up, that can easily be the impression one gets.

Thanks mate, I knew that. My current Orange PAYG phone is getting old, it crashes often, so I needed a cheap PAYG phone anyhow, I thought I would kill 2 birds with 1 stone ;)

  • I haven't got a BT line as far as I know so presume I can't get this offer! I pay Virgin Media for my TV/Cable/Phone and Broadband. Can I switch to a BT line? If I can, whats involved and how much will it cost?
