I'm an O2 customer and was going to jump at this when it came from on the weekly newsletter...however, we're currently with Talk Talk so therefore don't have a BT line, so this would involve us having to change from Talktalk to BT
I left BT as their call package couldn't beat TalkTalk's....our bill is around £25 per month for broadband and 24/7 landline calls to 01 or 02 numbers......unless anyone knows a better deal or way round this then I'm having to stay put
Talk Talk uses BT landlines you are are with BT!! :j Move to O2 broadband - it's the best by a long, long way.....0 -
Hi folks,
I too am not unbundled yet, but I can get the O2 home broadband package which is a couple of quid cheaper than Freedom2Surf (my present ISP) and with no caps (it seems!). So... I rang F2S for a mac code, hoping that they would offer me a better deal (I'm pleased with the service). I spoke to a very chirpy lady who informed me that the mac code was on its way and I would receive it within five days. No attempt to keep my custom, no offers, nada. I would have stayed given some incentive but now it's O2 here I come!
Cheers all,

Okay, this is probably a stupid question, but if we change to O2, the OH will lose his email address with Virgin (I only use webmail based addresses but he doesn’t). Is there a way of automatically forwarding emails from the old email address to the new one for a while, like there is with snail mail, or will the old address just be deleted and that’s it? Obviously he would give friends and family the new address but often you don’t remember everyone whom you have given your email address, you could have put it on countless competitions who might try to email you in some months’ time! Any ideas?Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0 -
Sometimes you can forward, some ISP's you can't.
Tesco did the same to me, the date I moved they blocked all the email accounts.
When I complained, they told me I should have changed my account to a free dial up pay as you go, then I could have accessed them later.
Virgin have a dial up, so worth doing during the change over period.0 -
Ok, this sounds really good,i'm with AOL at the moment so i can switch to o2 this month but in January i'm getting a laptop (i have a PC now) so what happens when i get rid of this computer and need the internet on my laptop? Will i need to ring o2 and tell them im getting rid of the PC, will i have to cancel the internet and then set it all up again onto my laptop??
sorry if it doesn't make sense!
thankyou x0 -
I also live in one of those areas that Talk Talk, Sky, and now O2 who all seem to offer these greta savings will not even touch so I am stuck with BT!!!
Is there no way I can get access to all these great deals as I am basically being penalised for where I live!! Help!0 -
Does o2 cover your area?
http://www.o2broadband.co.uk
Or is it just the O2 Access package you can get?Waddle you do eh?0 -
Thank you for the response above, however, I've just checked on the O2 website and we don't live in their area, so would only be able to get 'outside access' for £17.50 per month, and that does not carry any discount for O2 customers, according to their website
so not as good a deal....

Can you get this even with a Pay as you go SIM? So you don't even need to pay anything, just get an O2 SIM to get the discount?0

? Your question doesn't make any sense. To receive the discount you have to pay £10 per quarter. Why would you receive the discount if you didn't pay anything?
But, yes, you can receive the discount if you buy a pay as you go SIM and credit it with £10 each quarter.0
