    Morning, raining here also.

Hugs to Pen-Pin, whilst it isn't the news you wanted, at least it sounds as though they are going to get the op over and done with, rather than you having the thought of it hanging over you for months.

Just had to prise Miss Twit out of bed, I knew yesterday's enthusiasm would not last :D

Work this morning, well until 3 and then I'm at my other job from 5 till 7. I do dislike Fridays.

Love and hugs to all The Twit :grouphug:

Nice and soggy again. Its actually good for me because I've overspent recently, so it'll force me not to spend anything. I keep a tally of my money that I've taken out of my account and its in the minus at the moment. I do have some money in my wallet, but don't want to spend it unless I have to.

Earlier on in the week we had a chicken and its associated left overs. Last night OH washed up, and bagged up the remanats of the chicken. Isn't he handy. Am tempted to do a spag bol tonight. Might even pinch some of the mince for trouble's tea. Have tried it before and it doesn't go down hugely well. But I might mix it with a bit of chopped tomato instead of gravy.

Boiler service man is due round today...possibly. From what I understand he's a very good bloke who does things very well. The only problem is that his memory isn't too great. My mum is waiting to be billed for last year's service, never mind this year's. Besides as he's a one man band his charges are on the low side. Fingers crossed he'll turn up.

Hugs to those that need them.

Morning all. Very dull and grey here but not raining yet.

Had a restless night. DH texted me last night, he got a bed at 10.50pm. He texted again this morning to say that it was no better. The doctor told him it would have greatly improved by this morning. So now I'm worrying again! Won't be able to see him until this evening as visiting is after 11am and I have to work 11.30 til 1.30 then pick up kids at 3ish. The hospital is 1/2 hour drive away. I am feeling awful about leaving him there all alone. Anyway, soory to drone on.....

I need to get something in the slow cooker today I think, I didn't eat at all yesterday and kids had McDonalds with MIL .

(((hugs))) to all those who need or want one.

Have a good day all xx

  • Morning all,

happy birthday Mr Hester!!! (redruby, I too sniggered, lol!!!!) Glad to hear your new Head sounds like he means business too Hester :)

N9eav, hope you've got that Ark finished now... what a washout this "summer" has been :(
Aussie, what's your top like then? Sounds like you've got that sewing machine working overtime?! I'm having a go at making handbag organisers at the moment, then I want to make some door hangers & gift/recipes in a jar (as seen on other threads!). Glad to hear DGS is well & truly on the mend too :)
SOMO1 - I started "shining my sink" at night for a while (was about the only flylady thing I managed) and even that has fizzled out, but you are right, it is lovely in the mornings not to come down to piles of stuff. Having a DW you would think that wouldn't be the case... (my DD's don't seem to understand what it does!!!) Must become evil mummy.
PenPen, I wish I could sing - I would love to join a choir. Unfortunately out of tune & flat isn't quite what they're after, so I shall just sing loudly in the car on my own instead :)

Off to catch up with the rest of yesterday's thread....

PenPin - I'm sorry you didn't get the news you wanted to hear. I had to have a hysterectomy at 33 (6 years ago), not through choice either, but would highly recommend it!! As others have said, the freedom is lovely & (although I didn't feel ill prior to it as such) it makes such a postive difference to how you feel. Please feel free to PM if you want to ask anything.
Smoky, lovely to see you posting - hope you manage to enjoy your few hours of peace today :)
Sammyjig, how frustrating that you can't get to see DH till later today, but hopefully he is in the right place & getting his leg sorted... You/he can always ring the PALS office (patient liaison) if you are not happy about anything, I'd certainly let them know you are not happy re the bed situation last night... It's not going as far as making complaints, but they can chase things up for you if not much is happening.

(((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) to everyone needing/wanting them. Looks a bit murky out today but as exOH has FINALLY given me money he owes me (that I lent him 4 months ago), I can go & buy bargain reduced curtain pole from Argos for my lounge, put black one from there into oldest DD's room (so she can have curtains!), and am going to get some small wall bookshelves to put up for youngest DD (for now). Might go & treat myself to a latte in Costa Coffee too :)
