Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning.
Well it's howling a gale here and very wet. I guess day off outdoor stuff is off for the day.
I have to spend time clearing the rubbish out of this computer, so today might be the day.
Not much else going on. I tried for the cheap Travel lodge rooms, but failed to get one. Site kept on crashing, and most rooms had gone. I expect they got a lot of customers paying the £29 and up, so they did OK.
Need a haircut today and go to the bank. Off out for a meal with friends tonight, so looking forward to that.
Well have a nice day

Morning N9eav and all to follow,
Poured rain yesterday. It's looking a bit overcast here atm. This week has just flown by. I've had DGS nearly 4 days this week so I suppose that's why and OS usually has him tomorrow but he's got to work. We are picking up the chooks so I"m sure he'll love that. DD spending Saturday over as well as on Sunday it's Father's Day over here. We are taking him out to tea tomorrow night which we will all enjoy.
Finished my top which I must admit it's been my best project so far. I cleaned the house out this arv as DGS left after 11am. Just made some more passionfruit cordial, bread & got some picnic things together as after we pick up the chooks, we will take DGS to the park for lunch. Forgot to say his hands are coming along nicely. Been putting medi-honey under the dressings & I'm really impressed with it.
Ladygrim Happy Belated Anniversary

Morning all
Horrible morning here today, so looks like we are going to get wet on our walk
Went to the auction yesterday, and bought loads, it was a business that had folded and everything was going so cheap - I felt so sorry for the owner, but I still bought lots. I am sitting here now surrounded by boxes, and no idea where I am going to put them. Anyone got any cheap storage
Not sure what's for dinner as there is another auction tonight - I know, we shouldn't go ....
Haven't read all of yesterdays thread yet, so hugs to anyone who wants one xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Morning, n9eav, aussie, poppy, and all to follow,
Well first day back to school for my dd, where did the summer hols go
, we certainly have had no sun  , its really winterey here today, blowing a gale and guess what...... its raining. Might have to hang the washing on the airer today, no chance of it going out.
Its getting really cold here in the evenings, last year I did not put the heating on till November, I was hoping to do the same this year, but its soooo cold, I am not sure I will last, my dd is already having the snuggly winter throw on her bed at night.
DD has requested lasagne for tea, so that is my job for today, will try to make two, one for the freezer, I am feeling a lot better every day, but I wont overdo it I promise.
Aussie, glad your dgs is home and on the mend :T
Hugs to candy, beth, pen pin, smoky, and all in need .
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning All
Big hugs to PP, a friend of mine had hers done via keyhole surgery, don't know if that's an option for you, but it certainly speeded up the recovery period.
I know I keep on about our new head, but another of of his announcements was that he isn't interested in saving our maitenance budget & that he wants is spent on improving our surroundings. This means that my door lock that has been held on by sellotape for the past 4 years may finally get mended. I'm having a meeting with out premises manager today about the health & safety issues in my room, I have a constant sore throat caused by the fumes I work in as there is no air extract in my room & there should be.
It's hubby's birthday today & he's already had his present, once last night & again this morning, sorry if that is too much information this early in the morning!
Have a good day
Hugs Hester

Good Morning All
Aussie - good to hear DGS hands are healing.
Overcast here at the moment and has been raining, forcast is for heavy rain the rest of the day - lovely. I dont mind that summer has gone - just wish it would be drier.
Might do a load of washing as the forcast for the weekend isnt good either and its easier to dry small loads inside.
Housework this morning then popping out to next this afternoon as I couldnt do it yesterday, OH coming with me when he gets up as we also need to buy some new Hi-Viz's - exciting.
Back to football training and matches at the weekends so that will keep us occupied especially as we are trying to spend no money on unecessary things.
Burgers and chips for tea.
Have a great Friday.
x
Happy Birthday Mr Hester  now that was on OS pressie!:D (No good for extended relations though)0 -
Morning :hello:
sammyjig my mum first had cellulitis a few years ago, from a tiny cut on her foot. The bottom half of her leg swelled up so much it looked like the skin would split  Antibiotics sorted it, and the doc gave her some extra so if it came back she could start treating it straight away, while she waited for an appointment to see him. It came back twice but because of her drug stash (as I call it lol) it was nipped in the bud before it caused problems. It hasn't made an appearance for about 3 years.
We're going to Tintern today to drop some cards off - hope the shop owner likes them.
Rain again  So no gardening for me. Need to go shopping, might go to Chepstow for that as we're in Tintern anyway. We could drive back over the bridge and go to our fave spot for elderberries, damsons and blackberries.I am a coffee bean0 -
