So maybe the appropriate response is: allow the wine offer to catch your attention, try out this bank while enjoying the wine, and if you like the product then keep your current account with them for good and enjoy hassle-free banking.
BTW the wine is from Laithwaites, and pretty good. I am happy to pay about fifty quid for a dozen bottles of the stuff, and even at that price get a much better deal than from the supermarkets.
My husband's voucher came by email today (he only applied 3 or so weeks ago and we put the requisite £1500 in and straight out again). It isn't Laithwaites this time round, it's Virgin Wine. They basically send you a promo code and password to use when you order. You can either spend it on the "smile" £50 case of wine or you can use it against a more expensive case. We've gone for the £50 case, I'm not sure how good it will be though as a few of the wines are only 3 star ratings and I'd heard that you shouldn't order anything less than a 4 to 4.5 stars on Virgin as the quality isn't brilliant otherwise. Anyway we'll see.
BTW, the link they send you takes you to a page that says that they've had to put the delivery charge up to £5.99 but that they've amended the value of the voucher so you will still only pay £4.99. However, when we processed our order, we still ended up getting charged £5.99. Have emailed to query so hopefully will get the quid back. Every penny counts this time of year!0 -

Keep an eye on your email then - it's from "email from smile" and the subject's "your case of plonk from smile.co.uk".
Virgin apparently deliver within 7 days so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it might be here before christmas.

Don't think so, if you read the help page. From memory, I don't think there was any option to put in more than one code anyway.0 -
