  • Hi I had sky cheap package as we all have our own choices in what we watch, for me it is Genesis and Revelation channels nothing else. I cancelled after one year and have received these channels free up until we had a really heavy deludge of rain rain rain and now I have zonko, absolutely no sky. Had a look at freeview but they do not have the channels I want to view, went to Tesco Extra and the guy there gave me info that if I ordered the sky through Tesco Direct for £75.00 I get a complete new system and to make sure they replace the whole lot, dish, wiring, view box etc as they are sometimes cheeky and try not to:mad: which I would have to make sure they do. May daughter was here the other day and took my old sky box as hers is not working.
This £75.oo package encludes a digbox, a mini dish, cabling and professional installation access to sky channels and 200 free digital freeview channels, includes an auto set-up function, an electronic programme guide to plan and tv viewing and a top-up card slot cat number 203-8747 in the Tesco Direct book. Then I can view all the cheapo channels for nothing again and my grandaughter her cbeebies.
I have AOL for my broadband and telephone £12.99 per month for all calls whenever starting with 01 and 02 free. I pay BT 10.50 per month for my line rental. I use free skype with my webcam to family in Canada for nothing and use the JUSTDIAL for all freecalls to my friends in France well I believe I pay 2p per minute.
Bought my nokia phone from Tesco's and am on the £15 a month plan all txts 5p and all calls 10p per minute.
Am really trying to cut corners everywhere as I find it hard just one wage packet and having to pay for everything in order to survive.
Still have not ordered my SKY TO GO PACK as even £75 is alot just at the moment, and I hardly ever put the blasted tv on except to watch BBC news, if I am not doing a shift at work.
So maybe SKY TO GO maybe a good one of option for some of you folks ! At least you'll get a new skybox.

      • Can you use sky+ box on freesat+ and record as with the sky subscription packages?
      • Is there any monthly costs with freesat+?
there is no monthly cost with freesat - it will have same channels as freeview (once FIVE's contract with Sky expires in October and they they go free-to-air) plus quite a few others. You also get HD content if you buy an HD receiver.
  • I PHONED UP AND GOT A BIG FAT ZERO OFF ANYTHING BUT HAVE GOT RID OF A FEW CHANNELS THAT WE DONT WATCH
NO OFFERS HERE,I THINK THEY HAVE HAD TOO MANY PEOPLE PHONIG UP FOR DISCOUNTS.I THINK THERE OUT TO IT.....

    GOOD LUCK:money:

  • I rang Sky saying thinking of cancelling as we have freeview on all TV's, asked if they could offer any incentive for staying and was offered free Sky+ box with free installation and no extra monthly payments - great, what a result!

Are these call and text cost on topof your £15?

I am on O2 simplicity £15 for 200 minutes and 400 text (might be other way round) + O2 to O2 unlimited so no cost to anyone on O2 and they also do treats.

Have never paid more than the £15

We already have sky with sky sports at £47 per month. Its in my sons name but I pay for it.

I was wondering If we cant get sky plus for free.

Can I cancel Sky & re-order as a new customer, go through Quidco order the full package in my name as a new customer - get broadband, sky plus, eve & weekend calls, sky sports and movies for £47 and get £15 back from sky and £70 back from Quidco.

Sky plus would cost £99 but with cashback at £85, cost = £14

It sounds great, too great in fact. Can anyone see a problem with this idea please.

We had a sky+ package, all 6 mixes and movies - £38 a month in OHs name, didn't watch movies so wanted to go down to just 6 mixes, they said we still had to pay £10 per month for sky+ which hasn't worked properly for over a year, so we cancelled. Have just taken out new sky+ subscription in my name for the 2 mixes that I actually watch for £18 per month, being installed next week. Got £70 cashback from Quidco and £15 from Sky so only cost me £14 and will finally be able to record programmes confident that they won't fail!

Anyone know what happens when a Sky TV subscription is cancelled, i.e. do you still have access to the free channels?
    Thanks

Sky plus features won't work but you can still get all the free channels if you have a card, if you don't have a valid card they used to charge you a one off £20 to supply one
