  • Well, Where do I start. We left Sky last xmas to help us cut cost. We have just received a postcard stating we can come back to Sky for 50% off Sky TV for 6 months. So I jumped at it but it has been non stop hassle. We asked for all the channels as it was such a good deal. It took 3 days to get them to reinstate it (they said 2-4 hours) Then we realised that we didnt have all the channels. Called them up and they refuse to sort it out, saying that deal has ran out. Instead they are offering all the channels on a 3 month offer instead. They seem to think they are being generous but keep pointing out it should be for 6 months!!! GRRRRRR. If we could get cable here I would cancel and go with Virgin but we cant get it!!!
Have found the email address of the CEO so we'll see what happens.
  • I have a package which is about £35 (not too sure as o/h pays it) wtih both movie packages. I phoned SKY to say we were struggling to pay the monthly fee and he offered to cut it to £25 for the next 3 months and he threw in an extra variety mix!! Not bad - on phone for about 3 minutes in all, a really nice bloke in the overseas office.

Where did you find the CEO email address? I think there would be a few people that might like to send him/her a mail

I have Sky Hd , landline and broadband max. I am paying around £50 a month.
I have called them and told I would like to drop my HD subscription so I would reduc to £40 a motnh.
They offered me free landline for 12 months .This means nothing has changed I still got all my package but I am paying only £40.
I just saved £120 by one call. :T

Rang up and tried the cancellation ploy to try and get a free (or £49) sky+ upgrade, been with them 2 years but only have a £19 variety mix package.

Told the really nice girl (Claire), sky box had packed up and we only had about £50 to spend on a new DVD recorder but would have to cancel SKY and switch to freeview, immediately offered me SKY+ for £250 !!!!!, I laughed nervously, she went away came back with £110, said no I had around £50 to spend max, went away said she could only do £49 with £30 installation fee, couldn't do anything much more much as she'd like to, told me to buy a secondhand SKY+ box from eBay or small ads.

That's the end of that then, will wait till October when I've been with them 3 years and the AOL broadband's up for renewal, maybe have SKY+ for Xmas 2009.

Nice woman, I believe she'd have helped me if she could, but clearly hands are tied particularly with installation charge of £30.
