  • Phoned Sky yesterday to ask for the £5 for 3 months deal on the movies saying I had a leaflet last week (I didn't), guy put me on hold for about 10 mins because they were "having difficulties locating offers on customer accounts". Eventually he came back to me with bad news & good news. The bad news was he couldn't find the £5 for 3 months deal, the good news was he could offer it me for £3 for 3 months :j . The family are extremely happy now that we have movies for Christmas.

Buoyed by my success I offered to see what I could do for my Mum & Dad who have the full £46 package. Phoned up and said I reluctantly needed to cancel the Sports & Movies due to the cost.....straight away was offered to reduce the package down to £30 for 3 months....2 more happy customers!!

The first time I phoned up I spoke to a UK based agent and the second time was to an offshore agent. I don't think it matters if you speak to UK or offshore people the secret is to be polite and not pushy.

this number no longer works does anyone have another one?
  • I went to see the Sky reps in my local shopping centre and they said they couldn't offer it to me for any lower than £199 and it was best to phone Sky up or wait to the New Year which I don't want to do as I want to record any programmes that clash over the xmas period.

just phoned it and got a scottish guy, told him was about to be made redundant and needed to cut the bills.
he instantly give me a £30 discount on my next bill and told me to phone back in 4weeks to reavaluate my package.
tried to push the calls and BB but said no.

my sky plus box isnt working right, keeps freezing, and i need to change channel up and down to make it unstick!!
    anyone else had this???
    xxx
Had this in the early days with the old Sky Box. Try this:-

    1. Switch box off at the mains.
    2. Remove Sky card
    3. After 20 secs switch back on and re-insert Sky Card (make sure it's in the right slot).
    4. You will have to wait for about 5 mins. while the box re programmes.
If this doesn't work, you'll have to phone Sky and if it's still under warranty, they will fix it, if not you have to resort to the cancelling route or they will want to charge you.
