have you got a number for this. i'm still within my first year contract i think and am desperate for sky+ box. if i threaten to cancel it doesn't mean much as I'm within first year and owuld have to pay out the rest of my contract. When you calle dup did you ask to be put through to sales or the cancellations / retentions team?

This is just so unfair! I begged them for an offer on the movies package for Christmas as money is so tight but was given nothing! I'm going into the corner to cry now!
Awwwww Im so sorry Julie.....do it again and ring up and ask if there are any seasonal offers on your account that are active and you could consider to take up,I just said I wasnt interested sports or anything only movies and thats what they came up with....she did mention a higher price first and i said oh no thats to expensive so she said hang on and was typing away then offered me the movies at a fiver for 3 months....I rang and got through to scottish people.....good luck and keep trying :j

    Hi everyone,
So does anyone reckon if I phone them that I might get the box for free or still pay £99 and do I still have to pay £60 installation even if I'm an existing customer? Also does the Sky+ box replace the normal digital box?
If you don't have any luck with the Shopping Centre approach, try phoning Sky and explain that you are on hard times with the credit crunch (husband lost his job?) or similar and that you would love Sky+ but can't afford the £49. It works sometimes.

Those people who are getting Sky Movies for £5 per month for 3 months, is that a sort of contract just for 3 months and then they take the Sky Movies away? Or is it 3 months at £5 per month and then 9 months at full price?
  • it isnt normally a contract but you do have to remember and ask when you order the last date you have to ring at the end of the three months to cancel again.
if you dont cancel it then continues at full price per month
