Go to "Manage" your account.

On left hand side under "Account summary" click on "Change Settings" and third option down is "Order Card Reader".

I tried to set up a new payee. That's when the site told me I needed a card reader. I phoned Tesco Finance who confirmed this but I was able to use online banking for the transaction as I couldn't wait for the card reader to arrive. It's been 14 days and has not yet arrived. Will see if it comes tomorrow (day 15) and if not I'll chase it.

Just tried that now - that's when it asks me to order a card reader. It might have been a good idea to send us one automatically rather than wait until we need to add a payee!

No it's free. It all seems a bit daft when i don't actually have a card to use in a card reader.
