Like many others I am still waiting for the card reader.
But armed with card and pin I tried my Barclays reader........works fine.
:j0 -
I have a card and a PIN now, not sure if the they tried to deliver the reader today as I have a "Sorry you were out" card from Royal Mail.0

Something weird happened when I logged into my a/c today. I tried to transfer some money from my Tesco Instant a/c to my Tesco Internet saver a/c using the drop down menu on the left hand side.
However, when I tried to do this, it gave me the accounts of a Mr R Cassidy! When I went back to the main "my accounts" page and back in again, it gave the correct accounts. I've no idea who Mr R Cassidy is.
BTW, I looged into my account using my personal laptop in my study. No one else has access to it.0 -

Sounds like a gremlin, but I'd report it to them immediately, just in case.0 -
Just in case some people are misunderstanding,it is still possible to transfer money online without a card reader to your nominated bank account. This is the bank account you 1st. used to pay in to Tesco.
Not possible for me. I was told I could nominate a bank account when my account was up and running (on line). When I now try to do that online, I'm just being told that I need to order a card reader, which I've now done.
This is ridiculous ... it's taken me over 3 weeks to be able to register online to access my account (due to various technical problems with their website) and I now have to wait for my card reader and then a pin!
It makes a complete joke of the "bonus" 1.5% for the first year when I have so little in the account at the moment. I want to add to it when I eventually get my IceSave money back, but to be honest, it's such a shambles, I feel like closing the account already ... :eek:Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -

Stick with it MimiJane. It drove me nuts waiting for my card reader when I was desperate to access my money for a deposit for my house purchase. I've had the card reader for some time now and the Tesco account is very good - faster payment system, add any number of payees, easy to use. In fact, if you think you are going to have to wait a long time for your card reader and are desperate for one, send me a SAE jiffy bag and I'll send you one of my spare ones by return as they sent too many! PM me if you want to do that.0 -

That's really kind of you ... thanks :T I'll certainly bear your offer in mind if I don't receive it soon. Just a thought, but would it work if I didn't have a pin number? (Don't know anything about these card readers:rolleyes:)

You will need to receive the card and pin number for it first.0 -
I tried to create a new payee this morning and was told that I had to print off the request and send it to Tesco at the freepost address
and it would take up to 3 weeks to be processed. I don't have a card reader, have never been prompted towards one and don't want one, in fact this account is a pain all round as far as I'm concerned.
