We are also unsure about the loft conversion as well now.. it will cost about £25 which we don't have

£25 for a loft conversion sounds quite reasonable to me:rotfl:

Valli i carry my LO's bag back from school:o Is that bad? Only because she is so very little and has a bad back:o Hope teachers arent judging me on this:rolleyes:

Pigpen - You are in the same situation i was learning wise last year, distance learning is far too expensive, definately better to wait til tiddles goes to school.

I usually have the childrens bags on the buggy, and lunch boxes etc.. and I don't give a flying fig what anyone thinks.. especially the teachers. None of whom have more than 2 children.. and the entire teaching staff have 6 children between them!!

I CAN fit the study time in around her nursery time (3 mornings and 2 evenings) it is just the fact I have to go back into town to the college to hand in the forms on monday morning and I am so lazy I don't want to.. and they shouldn't have made appointments that late that I had to.. I am a brat and they should arrange things around ME!! lol

Well the plan for fairycakes is off - can't find my bun tin - think it may have been packed up and taken to the shed by OH in his attempts to start moving things out that aren't used regularly. Found the paper cases, but can't do anything with them now can I? Oh well, I'm sure my figure will benefit from the not making cakes. Must go and have a shower and get dressed - can't have OH think I've not dressed again whilst he's been out at work. May find a cup of redbush tea first though. Oh, and I should probably do those sit-ups first too - no point showering to get sweaty again.

Anyone experienced cyclelanes on pavements instead of roads? Good or bad? Dangerous or safe?

    Off to research that question...

I have.. BAD BAD BAD idea.. the cyclists take up the whole footpath and often they are put on paths too narrow to accomodate a buggy with a child walking either side so someone has to walk in the cycle lane and risk being knocked over.

DD has popped round and is deliriously happy. She's been accepted on the course she wanted to take this morning. Bank of Mum  has stumped up most of the fees for her - though she says she'll pay me back... I'm really pleased for her. She's 26 and has been undecided on a career for most of her life! She's going to study hypnotherapy and counselling - on a part time basis over three years (means she can still work and pay her own way.)

    So that's some excellent news!

Kaz and Pigpen - thanks for the cycle lane stuff. I wondered about the width and, looking at where they're proposing to put it, I just don't know how it will fit unless they demolish the bus stop!
