They should be pleased for you! Hope so!
When my mum was having my sis (DD3) she got my dad to tell her mum cos she was scared to. Granny was NOT pleased - but went on to spoil my sis something awful!
Mine all do that once they have come round to the idea. The one thing i'll know they will say is not enough room in the house and you've only got them all off to school. I'll be saying prefect timing then.:rotfl:Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

Well, one little part of that report done. I've just spent the last hour or so using Google Earth and little sticky pins to point to places. I really ought to get out of this nightie and dressing gown and find some brunch!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

If there's a reason (bag) well fine - but I have seen kids come out - THROW their sandwich bag/PE kit/coat AT their carer - then run off like mad idiots...
Mind you - watching childminders pick up - they don't put up with ANY nonsense!
Once our SCP (lollipop lady) found a watch so handed it to me as the teacher on end of day duty (oh that's fun...) so I was holding it so that it was visible, having told the SCP that I would hand it into the office, and a Grandma walked up to me SNATCHED it from my hand saying 'That's my watch' and walked off. Err - thankyou??
Her grandchildren are little angels...not!
And the parents who don't pick up until 20 mins after everyone else - 'I waited until there was somewhere to park...' like I am there to mind their child!
No, my child is very well behaved and holds my hand and skips the whole way home! I dont put up with any nonsense from my LO. I work in a restaurant and am constantly amazed by what people let their kids get away with. DO NOT get me started on that particular rant:oThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Hi everyone!
Spent ages catching up with you all - what an eventful few days!
From what I can remember:
CONGRATS to Vanilla!!!! (Fab news!)
Gorgeous looking cake Polka!
Hugs to all who need
Hope first week back for those in school wasn't too bad!
Since last post:
have managed to keep up with level 2 (feeling very proud of that)
kept up with the water drinking
and..............
.........HAVE FINISHED AUDITING THE BROWNIE DIVISION ACCOUNTS AND THE CONSOLIDATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(thanks Valli - the prod was what I needed to get started - and I rewarded myself last night with some pink grape stuff!)
So far this morning we have:
sorted passport photos for DS (3rd lot - lets hope THESE are passport compliant!)
birthday prezzie and card for MIL
birthday prezzie for friends son - party tomorrow
dropped off parcels of stuff sold on ebay
picked up DS new specs
Still to do:
3 x lots of washing (and resulting ironing pile!)
make MORE snickerdoodles - there seems to be a problem with the first batch - the Ginger family like them TOO much and have eaten them all!
make some muffins or cookies - can't decide which
Was a bit of a numpty when I did my online shop and seem to have inadvertantly orderered 2 dozen eggs. Looks like omelette for lunch then and maybe full english tomorrow!
The teachers at our school tell the children that they can carry their own bags/coats/other stuff and have been known to tell parents NOT to do it for their little darlings!!
OK - off now, hope to catch up later!

Vanilla - when we told MIL her reaction was "OH.....right" Said in a fashion like we'd just told her the bus was running late or something..... not that her only son was about to be a dad! She then looked round the room and there was a deadly silence from her and FIL.....
She then proceeded to say "so whens the wedding? I DO presume your getting married now.." At this point i should point out she is the ex-national president of the union of catholic mothers... so her son impregnanting a C of E/atheist girl 9 years his junior before they were married was probably not the best news:rotfl:
Sarah is now nearly 5 months old and EVERY time we visit without fail we get asked have we arranged the wedding....and beverytime we answer "2010 possibly, because we need to save up" and she says that is too far off incase she dies........ i shall refrain from posting publicly what usually goes through my head when she says that  :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

Morning everyone.
Its a monsoon here today and very windy. Im waiting for it to ease so I can do a mad dash to the shops.
Just going to do the dailies today and catch up a bit on my reading.
Work rang me at 7am to see if I would go in but politely declined as Im back tomorrow 12 hours.
Was going to see mum today but with it pouring down would be wet through before I got there.
Soappie Glad the noise didnt go on all night.
Polka Oh what a lovely cake. Afraid Im no good at cakes and admire people who are. Oh and your toxic friend. She doesnt sound like a friend to me. I have one and have only just startted putting a bit of distance between us.
Valli You really make me laugh. I thought I was the only one that couldnt watch ships on the sea on tv. I feel really sick and have to turn away.
Toots Im really glad you went to the party and really enjoyed it. As for saying no to your friend Well done you :T
