    Morning all :)

Well I've been back at work for a week and as predicted, the house has gone to pot

Got house guests coming on Friday and still need to paint the living room, I'm sitting in it at the moment and it looks like a bombs hit it, reckon it'll take half a day to de-clutter and clean before any paint sees the walls :(

    Better get to it!
DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!
  • Morning all!

Love the posts - too tired to catch up yesterday but have spent a lazy morning today. Now I have to get my act together and go and fly at my parents - mum's home today and dad doesn't do housework!

Had a busy day yesterday - in between lunch with dad! and managed to wash and (nearly) dry my duvet - ran out of 50ps for the dryer! Collected a parcel, took guide stuff to the post office, got to the market for F & V and eggs - still a tenner but cheaper than supermarker - I hope! will update sig later - as I also did a Mr T in the evening whilst waiting for the washing. Ran the hoover round and sorted out DDs room - she's only 7 but cna she make a mess - and it's only a box room! OI've left a pile for her to put away and am trying ot make it fun a short HHC - only 5 minutes at a time but she's not up for it yet - might have to offer a Twink for a reward!!!

Anyhow ladies, enjoy the rest of the weekend -hope it's not too wet where you all are - we're dry but threatening here and last night was torrential. Congrats to all those who have good news and to all the teachers, you have my undying appreciation - I couldn't do your job for all the tea in China!
Will keep reading and mainly lurking but thanks for all the fun you are bringing to my very boring life - don't get out much!!!!

  • Not sure if sainsburys sell stardrops, think tesco and asda do though

I have never seen a bottle of stardrops anywhere in Northern Ireland, had to order 2 bottles from wilko and if i was to order 2 bottles from them today it would cost 20 pounds for delivery.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • Morning all, omg you ladies like to talk! I just had to read 10 pages:eek: In less than 24hrs:eek:

Anyway, no real flying today, maybe do a load of washing and an S&S in the kitchen if i can be bothered:o Have to work tonight and thankfully my knee is feeling better this morning(slipped in shower yesterday and twisted it so spent all last night limping round work like a loon)

Valli i carry my LO's bag back from school:o Is that bad? Only because she is so very little and has a bad back:o Hope teachers arent judging me on this:rolleyes:

Polkadot - cake looks fab! And definately ditch the hideous friend, life is far too short to deal with BS like that.

Pigpen - You are in the same situation i was learning wise last year, distance learning is far too expensive, definately better to wait til tiddles goes to school.

Johanne - hope you feel better soon.

Vanilla - Has it sunk in that you're pregnant yet?

Hope everyone else is ok, anyone had to build an ark yet? It was peeing down last night and blowing a gale. Has topped raining now but is still miserable and cold looking. Guess who is going out to try and buy boots today?

If there's a reason (bag) well fine - but I have seen kids come out - THROW their sandwich bag/PE kit/coat AT their carer - then run off like mad idiots...
Mind you - watching childminders pick up - they don't put up with ANY nonsense!
Once our SCP (lollipop lady) found a watch so handed it to me as the teacher on end of day duty (oh that's fun...) so I was holding it so that it was visible, having told the SCP that I would hand it into the office, and a Grandma walked up to me SNATCHED it from my hand saying 'That's my watch' and walked off. Err - thankyou??
    Her grandchildren are little angels...not!

And the parents who don't pick up until 20 mins after everyone else - 'I waited until there was somewhere to park...' like I am there to mind their child!

They should be pleased for you! Hope so!

When my mum was having my sis (DD3) she got my dad to tell her mum cos she was scared to. Granny was NOT pleased - but went on to spoil my sis something awful!
