    Morning all

Slept in late as you can see. I'm not long up. And, shock horror, it's not raining at the moment! But looking at the garden, it has been recently. And looking at the sky, it will do shortly. Just as well, I have report to write so I won't be distracted by the sunshine.

Anyone experienced cyclelanes on pavements instead of roads? Good or bad? Dangerous or safe?

    Off to research that question...

Valli – hope you manage to get the problem sorted. I have the office job 8 – 4 every day with an hour for lunch but I cant mooch the shops (prob just as well) as work is out in the stix, I cant keep up with the thread, and don’t have all the time I need for housework and more importantly the stuff I’d like to do, so like me there’d always be something you’re not happy with.

And reading further you are so funny in your er management of children.
Oooh ooh ooh we do have a free canteen for grub

Soappie – hope the noise improves to a liveable level

Polkadot – That is an amazing cake – that was the first time I could see it when johanne posted it (thanks johanne). And I LOVE the term toxic friend

Tooti – glad you had a good time out, that’s about how often I go out

Morning all who are up and about – there were some late ladies last night.
Its disgusting weather here too and doesn’t look like it will ease today. Need to go into town at some point so will take the car just in case I need to get loads of stuff (well that’s my excuse)

Embb – nice to see you I was only asking the other day if anyone had seen you. (reason being I need to know how much I should expect to pay a cleaner should I decide to get one  )

Soappie – we have some shared paths/cycle paths round here and so long as the pavement is wide enough they seem to work. Its far better than people riding on the pavement which is what my poor DS was doing (traffic is really bad round here) when he had a problem with his bike and knocked a little lady over.

    Right what to do now

DS is in the bath so I’m waiting for bathroom. DD is waiting for me to finish on the computer and OH well he’s about somewhere.

What do to first …………………………….. not sure so I’ll say TTFN and catch you all later, have a good day

ooo oooo oooh my easycook mag has come and its not due out til next wednesday so I'm going to be reading that while drinking coffee that OH has just offered to make - well I am waiting for the bathrom
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Hi Kaz :hello: I charge £8 per hour for a private clean but it can be up to £10 per hour, I am in the north though where it may be cheaper than elsewhere? I'd thoroughly recommend you getting one, if you get a good one they're worth their weight in gold and it will take so much pressure off you, I only wish I could justify getting one I'd love to come home from work to a sparkling house lol

K, kitchen done just having a break then I'll do some more, I was gonna do the living room next but littleys not going out till 1pm and I need to shift furniture and mop and stuff so it's best left till she's gone out, so, I'll head upstairs instead.
  • Morning flyers!!!
Its bright but very windy here so have thrown a load in the WM with the hope of getting out for a while.
I hope all of you with bad weather are ok and not getting flooded or blown away!!!

sarah thanks for your lovely words -it does feel good - I hadnt realised how much of an effort it would be though!!!
polkadot your toxic friend sounds just as bad as mine - you are better off without her and I hope your new freecycle friend is a better replacement!!! Hope OH is behaving himself today!!

I am still smiling this morning from enjoying myself last night both at the party and on here. You are such lovely people to know - I am so glad I found you all. I had such funny dreams of soappie and dog (sorry dont know her name) in camouflage creeping around the park checking up on the gig and then presenting her evidence to the council!!!! Then there was valli with images of her taking her computer apart to find her missing file and and putting it all back together only to have bits left over!!! And then greenbee with the grape juice and writing objectives for the patronising git - when she said she would "have to break him" in her post it must have stuck in my mind as I was dreaming of her with him on a leash and greenbee using a whip to bring him in line and setting him objectives of housework!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thank you ladies for conjuring up such vivid images - you made great dreams!!!

Ok must get on - have to go all the way across town (3 buses)to collect a parcel they couldnt deliver yesterday - I know what it is and cant wait until tuesday for it and anyway i could be in hospital by then!

then it will be back to tidy up and do some more filing etc

    will check in later
    hope everybody has a great day/ week-end

    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
Live each day as if its your last

Toots - you know me so well! I took my wind up radio apart last weekend and a bit dropped out and for the life of me I couldn't work out where it went. And they don't have many parts! So in the spirit of this thread I flung it!

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
