CONGRATUALTIONS VANILLA...:D
Not feeling very well today probably not hepled by fact DD had me up 7 times betwen 10pm and 6am
I have felt a bit rough last few days but today ive woke up with a sore back which is swollen round my bad kidney again and keep going hot and cold, got a banging headache and ache head to toe. So guessing im on my way to another water/kidney infection...! (Have a kidney problem that cant be dealt with till i finish breastfeeding as i need an intravenous dye xray :undecided)
Have decided to give up with my uni assignment.. DD wont let me put her down today so no way it will be finished... got 20 days to get my end of course exam in.. so will just concentrate on that and accept a zero score for this.. should still pass the course aslong as i do ok on the exam.. so figure thats the best thing to do.
Anyway DD just realised im not in the room (sooner i can arrange wireless internet the better!!) so off i pop again.....0 -
Hey Polka - friends are there for you when you need them -they don't mess you about and if they do they should have the good grace to apologise. She asked you to bake a cake...then she mentioned a shop cake..you were right to ask. Hope you didn't lend whatever she wanted!
Incidentally I am pleased to see that someone - your Df - realises that, if you sue (anybody) someone - usually the taxpayer or other customers pay. It's like these 'accident' claims or when people 'inflate' an insurance claim - they say - well the companies can pay they have load of money conveniently forgetting that the companies get their money from the customers who pay inflated insurance premiums. Having said that I do believe that people should be compensated adequately for injuries - they should have enough money to have an excellent quality of life but there are some claims which are 'massaged'. Apparently there are people who feel that inflating an insurance claim is perfectly acceptable. Rant over. Sorry!
Thanks Valli
She just called as she got my email and it was taking too long to write a response. Apparantly none of what Ive said to her is true and I am very insecure and no one can talk to me. She has a lot of friends and doesnt need someone as needy and petty as me-so I told her she didnt have to stick around,by the end of it she was screaming at me so I put the phone down on her. Ive spent almost every week day on the phone to her for between an hour and two for just about the last 6 months. Listening to her rant and stess and she's just told me that Im all about the drama-I guess at least my phone bill will go down if she decides shes done with me. On a positive note though-I just met another saffer who lives down the road from me:jI saw her name on freecycle and had to ask. Turns out she is so Ive been gabbing away to her on yahoo in afrikaans.0 -
Back with parcel, one happy boy and a little half hour spent with Nan so I guess parcel not being delivered turned out well.
Soappie I didn't get anymore info on the male side but I now do have a little more info on Nan's mum's side. As both Nan and Grandad lost parents as children they were brought up by many aunts ect and it doesn't seem much was ever mentioned. I'll email you at the start of next week if that is ok?
Tea in the AGA and then off cricket. DS3 watching weakest link now - my kids are like grannies. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Kazwookie - Hope you have a better weekend, take care x
Vanilla - Congratulations, really pleased for you and OH
Pigpen - How did the interview go? am sure it went brilliant from what you said before. You'll be fine for the OT next week too - I don't know why they stopped dog licences either and think they should bring it back - adding cats is a great idea too - might even stop some thefts if they have to say where they got their dogs from - mmmm, maybe not, they're crafty bu**ers theives aint they...
Sexymouse - where do you get your great emicons from? They're brilliant...
Polkadot - the last thing you need to be worrying about now are someone elses feelings, but I do understand that she is a friend and it's horrible when you argue - [STRIKE]she sounds like the kind of person that will calm down once she's had some time, so if you still want to stay friends, I can't see it going on too long. But do you need this? people like that can be hard work and you're just sorting yourself out, so please take care... x[/STRIKE] Ignore all that, I've just read your last post and she sounds awful and I think you are better off without her. I have friends who listen to all my problems, moans, insecurities, ect for hours, umming and ahhing in all the right places and putting in their tuppence worth when I need it - and I do the same for them they never moan about me or tell me what your "friend" has just said to you. You will be much better off without her and I'm glad you managed to put the phone down this time - good on you!
Johanne - Sorry to hear you're not feeling good at the moment, hope you feel better soon - isn't it always that time though that kids play up? I'm sure they sense something is not right and it upsets them. good luck with your end of course exam - have you tried freecycle for a wireless router? (knowing you, you already have, but thought I'd ask)

Thanks Denise
I know you're right and I feel better about it now-I just realised I have told you about this one. Remember I had to go be with a friend who had to deal with a trouble visitor? Same one-trouble was LL who needed top do work in the house. She cancelled appointments with him because he arrived fairly late and then didnt want to deal with him alone.
Ive just been thinking back and I really havent lost much-except quite a bit of time-and Im going to miss doing the cake-I was REALLY looking forward to that. Id love to know how to break into the market-Id be happy even to do them for free just coz I like doing them so much-twice a year just isnt enough.
Where has pigpen got to? We're all sitting biting nails waiting to hear.0 -

Polka's 'friend' sounds like she has issues - this one sounds just like someone else's 'friend' (see earlier threads!) another user who wants it all her own way. Glad you've found someone else to chat to Polka - hope that develops into a supportive friendship for you!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hex - thanks for the offer re. questions. I may well be in touch... although I think the questions are probably fine, I just get bored with asking the same ones time after time! Hopefully I'll get some interesting answers, but I suspect not
Polkadot - you don't need toxic friends. Consider her as your Friday fling and donate her to someone else. Friendship is about give and take, and making allowances for other people, not taking advantage and trying to make them feel small. There is such a thing as having too many friends if you include people like this, but she isn't really a friend. We all think you deserve betterChunky has demonstrated what a friend should be like
Johanne - keep drinking the water and don't overdo things. Hopefully it'll calm down soon.
Kazwookie - hope the weekend is better
TAG - glad you enjoyed your child-free zone
Soappie - definitely the right prescription for back pain. I swear by it, but don't try it at workHave you (or Mudbath) tried TENS? I've been using it for years, and it's the ideal solution for work (I have a tiny unit that clips on my belt), and if you're a chronic pain sufferer and get a doctors' note the kit is VAT free too.
Dusty - if the kids are settling down with cricket & TV, you need to go out paint the town red to make up for it
Pigpen - we're all on tenterhooks - how did the interview go???0 - [strike]
