Had a look at Le Crueset stuff in TKMaxx yesterday but it was all stonewear rather than cast iron, which is what I'm looking for. Really want a set of pants.
 The mind boggles:eek:  :rotfl: :rotfl:

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Well I'm laughing away to myself now which is just the medicine. I had read it through as well. Well, this is far too good to change and I will stick to wanting cast iron pants. Just wait til DH wakes up and I tell him what I want for Christmas

Morning all

A few of you all not feeling/sounding very well and/or not sleeping so (((((((hugs)))))) for you.
It looked quite nice here when I woke up at 7ish, now the sky is just going VERY dark & yellowish - looks like there could be a storm any minute now...!!! MSDiva, it must have come from wherever you are...!!! I am waiting for a huge bang of thunder & torrential rain any second now... Good luck with your BM too
Stefjb, I would have been very cross with Mr NOT caring-sharing... and tell him so. And then mess him around another time.
SunnyD, hope your tablets are working a bit and your hand is a bit better this morning. Your OH will just have to wait on you hand & foot instead...
Smoky, minted lamb chops.... mmm....scrummy. The cheese for freezing sounds like a bargain too. I need to find somewhere to put a little chest freezer desperately as all I have are 4 very small drawers in a fridge/freezer & it's costing me a fortune as I have to keep shopping & can't cook/freeze.
Haribo, going round the bay in a little boat & seeing the seals sounds idyllic
I'm jealous....
Today I was planning on assembling the other 3 rose arches & ordering a metal shed that I've seen reduced by £80 somewhere. And seeing what else I can do out there. I seem to have been bitten by the gardening bug - probably because it's something so far removed from academic stuff. I'm suddenly on a mission..!!!
Chicken to roast as well, although I will probably do it with new or jacket potatoes, and then save some for chicken & sweetcorn chowder tomorrow or Tuesday.
Meantime, have a good day everyone, cast iron pants & all...!!Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)

Morning, it was very noisy last night people singing and shouting as they walked by, one lot seemed to be hitting things

I think we will have sausages for tea today, I might make some yorkie puds to make it into a proper dinner
I will be off to town for 10am to get some hair colour sorter outer for Miss Twit, I'll also have a wander round Poundland for any bargains.
I got my jam jars washed yesterday, so now I just need to get my fruit.
Love and hugs to all The Twit. :grouphug:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Morning :hello:
I typed a HUGE post on friday, I had loads to say to lots of you. My computer restarted itself just before I hit 'submit' and I lost the lot  So have this instead
We've spent the past couple of days picking, blanching and freezing veg. The freezer is filling up :T The potatoes are ready, just waiting for the leeks now, mr troo makes a great leek and potato soup. The raspberries and strawberries have started fruiting again - are they supposed to at his time of year? - so I've been eating lots of fruit. Blackberries have started ripening round here so we went down by the river on friday and picked loads. We've been given over 50lb of cooking apples, and there's more on the way
Miss troo had a lightbulb moment yesterday - 'to get what I want, I need a career, not a job'. Sounds great doesn't it? Cept the lightbulb went off while she was on the way to work. She jumped off the bus, walked into work, told them she was quitting and jumped straight back on the bus to come home   Bloody kids, I could strangle them sometimes. She's been talking about connexions, career advisors and training so she seems to have some sort of plan
I am a coffee bean0 -
Morning all,
Had a busy day y/day, my new L Ashley sofa was delivered at 7.30, was told it would arive between 9 and 12, just as well I'm an early riser. Moved furniture around and blitzed 2 rooms.
Window cleaner came and I could see the insides needed doing so out came the vinegar.
DF's popped in to say they are off for 3 weeks, a spur of the moment decision. They had done a big shop on Friday so I was given all of their fresh
food, 2 carrier bags full plus all of their HG food. So loads of cooking done.
DD2 called in with the bigest bouquet I have ever seen, a thank you for all the cleaning and cooking I did for her.
Beef is in SC, veg peeled, and yorkie mix done. Must make an apple crumble, I have a carrier bag full from DF's garden.
Have some sewing to do and another premie hat to finish.
Haven't caught up since Friday so off to read through. Hope it's a good day for all.0 -
Good Morning All
(((hugs))) Redruby - hope you feel better soon, and to all those not sleeping.
Well thought I might get on with loads yesterday as no MSE but the opposite happened - just managed some washing and made some choc chip cookies (in the remoska - turned out very well)
So today I need to have a productive one, will jump in the shower in a mo. Weather forcast was for heavy rain but we have mist and sunshine here so hope they have got that wrong.
Today - will finish ironing pile, clean the house and make sure all the uniforms and school stuff is sorted. Also need to do some essential paperwork, if the weather stays nice will get down the beach or sea wall to make the most of it.
Hope you all have a great Sunday.
