    I have only had 1 or 2 problems of the network being busy in the 2 almost years of using 18866 and 1899.

    Today I have got through first time every time.
    It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
    (OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)

    just copied the statements, reformatted, put into excel and done some calculations:

    over two months, 161 calls, connection charges (@ 3p a call) = £4.83
    total length of calls 18 hrs 21 mins 59 seconds (just under 1102 minutes), at 0.5 pea a minute it would then be £5.51

    So total cost (for 2 months) = 4.83 + 5.51 = £10.34 (or £5.17 a month)

    Now I just have to compare with other providers (including NTL).

    Hello all
    Yes, I'm having the same problem getting through tonight as well. There is a page on 1899's website that allows you to report problems. If we all report we're pigged off with a cr*p service as well as a price hike, they may do something abouut one or other of the issues. Or both. Or am I being optimistic about consumer power??!! :confused:

  • However, as BexTech says not everyone has problems with the service, I never have with using 18866/1899/18185.

    what is happening here ,not so long ago 18866 increased it's connection charge to 3p
    and there was uproar for days on this site .this is the 40th post on this because of a 1/2 p charge per minute (plus 3p connection ) .Bad news , but come on guys (and girls ) havent we
    better things to do .Dont drag this out for days lets find another bargan.

    Also raises two questions:
    1) why should customers keep looking at a website daily just to see what price they may be charged.
    You're not obliged to do so, but it seems unfair to complain.
