  • Good morning and happy new month everyone.

My start to the new diary has kicked off fairly well; I have joined a few challenges and am aiming to make £150 this month which will go as an extra payment to SIL.

I have this morning completed a survey for Pureprofile and earned a whopping £1.50 and have also ordered some things for the kids and DH via Quidco earning me £5.62.

I also totalled up how much has been spent on shopping online and it averages out as £230 per month, this doesn’t include what I buy from the veg man on Thursday and any extras that get forgotten, but I think that it is probably no more than £260 in total for the month, so am very pleased that it has gone down. I am wondering if I should put that £40 away that I would have spent and put it towards Christmas??

    My plan for this week:
    • Buy DS’s school uniform
    • DS’s teacher is coming round for home visit this week but not sure which day.
    • Two NSD’s – if weather is nice, then park will be used also taking kids for a walk this week.
    • Go to market for fruit and veg
    • Housework…please don’t make me :rotfl:

    Plan for today:
    • Doctors to drop off repeat prescription for DH
    • Tesco’s for potatoes and tissues
    • Housework…trust me the house does need it today

Right better get a move on and get something sorted, will update later if I get chance.

  • Plan for today:
    • [STRIKE]
    • Doctors to drop off repeat prescription for DH
    • Tesco’s for potatoes and tissues
    • [/STRIKE]
    • Housework…trust me the house does need it today - Partly done and have put some washing on.

Not too bad a morning I guess, I spent £3.66 in Tesco's and am not aiming to go there again this week but feel that beer may need to be bought. The last one lasted us a fortnight :) compared to a week as in the past.

Have also checked the online bank account and we are £600 near to the end of the OD, DH gets paid in fourteen days time..there are still bills to come out so we will see how it goes.
  • Last update for today as I doubt that I will get chance later.

DH and I have both completed surveys for Valued Opinions this afternoon, he got bored at work and did his anyway we both got 50p out of it, so not too bad I guess but mine has come off my challenge total.

I finally managed to check DH’s Juicy Brains account and he has £2.25 in there and I have done the necessary Piggy clicks for the two of us, I’m a step closer to getting another voucher but it is doubtful that it will be this side of Christmas.

I am going to go through the totals again tomorrow and note down who’s got what and see if DH is beating me, he seems to get lots more than I do and he’s only been doing them for a few months!

No more has been spent today but £1 will get spent tomorrow as it is playgroup.

    Hi Purpletea

Like taxi, I must have missed your diary, but at least I know your name from Hypno's diary, so I'm just popping over to see how you're doing. Are you doing slice the pie at all? Or there's songpeople too.

Nice to hear you're working on the soa advice, from looking at other people's soa's, I realised my water bill was way out of kilter, I'm fixing it now.

    Good luck!

    Morning
Well done with starting the payment a day, you'll find it soon adds up as you can see from my sig and keep going with the surveys, some days i really have to force myself to do them and think of the money as some are sooooo boring.

Hoping to start paying off a bit more as of tommorrow as little ones back to school (ds first day:cry: ) and i'm back to work, had 6 weeks off as i am a nursery assistant at a playgroup,so we will all be taking packed lunches and hopefully won't spend any money.

Hope you have a good day.

  • Morning,

God my hip is murder this morning, I don’t know whether to scream or cry

Anyway, I completed another survey this morning for V.O which earned me a £1 bringing my challenge total to £7.12, not much but getting there :)

    Totals are as follows:
    DH’s Pigsback account: 750 points
    My Pigsback account: 903 points
    DH Valued Opinions: £5.50
    My Valued Opinions: £6.50
    DH Lightspeed: 25 points - £10 redeemed
    My Lightspeed: 25 points - £2 redeemed
    DH Pureprofile: £2
    My Pureprofile: £16.80
    Quidco: £2.35 - £3.20 being tracked
    DH’s Juicy Brains: £2.25
    My Juicy Brains: £9.50

It's a shame that couples can't merge their totals, DH and I would at least get some money or vouchers before Christmas.

I thought that there was playgroups this week but silly me, they start next week, so the £2 I would have spent is going in to the bank account as payment towards SIL. I also got it wrong about when we are going on holiday…I thought it was next week but it’s the week after...Doh!

The window cleaner is coming this afternoon, £18 but worth it for once a month I wonder if they will come with the rain lashing down like it is doing??

Dinner tonight is Beef Casserole, I might treat DH and do some dumplings too, it gives him and the kids lunch for tomorrow too, so nothing is wasted.

  • Morning all,

We went to see an orthopaedic friend of ours yesterday evening for a second opinion, he offered I should add and it was free of charge, anyway he took one look at the scan and agreed that I will need the operation to correct it :( He advised that he hasn’t seen a disc as bad as mine in many years…oh well; if you are going to do something may as well make it a biggie as my mum says.

    So on to today:
    • DS’s teacher is coming round at 9am for the home visit, well I think it is today
    • Go to Dtr’s and get repeat prescription
    • Go to chemist to get prescription and more painkillers
    • Go to park with kids if dry, if not the Playdoh will be out.
    • Clicks and competitions
    • Housework
    • Apart from the necessary above today will be as much of a NSD as possible

Have a good day everyone and I’ll update later.
