    Hi Tea,

finally gave in & rang Dad to ask why he wasnt here & he'd got it in his mind that we were meeting at 2.00  . Why on earth would I arrange it for an hour before DD needs to be picked up.

This just keeps on happening & it is sooooo frustrating & time wasting. And the underlying worry is that although Dad has always been vague it seems to be getting worse & I'm starting to think maybe alzheimers ?

Anyway now off to opticians to pick up new lenses having sta here waiting for an hour & a half :(

    Hi Tea
They arrived! Thank you - very professional looking, and I sold a CD today, so one of them is going straight out tomorrow!

Lula - I'm sorry you've got this hassle with your dad, that must be difficult. Did you manage to look at any cars in the end, or didn't you have the time? How old is your dad?

Lots of hugs to all - a group hug is indicated, methinks. G'night....

purple belated happy new diary lol!

I am glad that you are making progress, and the overpayments must be a fab feeling especially if things are a bit difficult with SIL at the moment.

I am assuming from you not mentioning it that your operation was a success and that you are now pain free?

Will you be thinking about getting part time work once DS goes to school full time in January. Just thought it might be worth seeing what is around now, having a look at the old cv that sort of thing..

  • Morning all,

After a fairly decent night’s sleep helped by a few glasses of wine and talking things over with DH about the family I feel a lot better and more positive, we know where we stand and what’s important to us besides the kids.

I still feel bad that I bought the mousse but the kids have enjoyed them and they have got one each left for today so I am going to stop beating myself up about it as you all said chocolate is essential.

Lula – Sorry that you didn’t get to see any cars yesterday morning and I have my fingers crossed that you will get something sorted soon…parents eh?

Karmacat – I’m glad that envelopes arrived okay and that they are going to be of some use to you.

Hypno – thanks for not slapping me and making me realise that we all need chocolate :)

Hi Chevalier :hello: – I am now pain free and I feel fantastic, thanks for asking. As for work I still have DD at home, she’s only two and I’m not sure what if anything I can do work wise whilst still looking after her.

So on to today, I need to dig the stuff out for the last car and the stuff for this car in order that DH can sort the paperwork out for his car allowance with work.

I also need to go to the next town and get some fruit and veg and nip into see a friend of ours at work and ask how his wife is as she is going in for an operation this morning.

I did forget to mention something good that came out of yesterday, I won a £2 gift voucher from GFK so I have redeemed it for Woolworths and am waiting for it to come through, that brings my vouchers from them up to £5 all are going to be used in the sales after Christmas for the kids :)

Right off to get motivated and I will update later, have a good day everyone.

I was wondering about the pain - how quickly its gone, thats fantastic! I didn't realise you had such a tiny DD - I'm quite envious, I love that age. Glad you've had such a good talk with OH. Have a good day today now...

hi i hadn't realised that you had a younger child, so that does make it tricky. But I guess as you have been in pain for a long time, for now you can just enjoy being able to have lots of fun with your children.

That said, you may still want to think about whether you want to retrain for anything or update your skills. There is free training available on the internet, and the OU does grants for people on low incomes. Just thinking outside of the box a bit.

But I am very glad you are pain free. That must be the best xmas present of all:T

Definately, even when they are playing up :)

Unfortunately DH earns far too much for me to be able to get anything free like that, but am thinking of things that I could do for when I go back to work and will look at free online training just to see if they'd offer me anything.

I'm open to offers, she's yours if you want her? I'll even throw in DS to so that you don't feel lonely :rotfl: :rotfl:
