Hiya guys,
Not been on for a few days but have been doing quite well, my month started on 29th-28th and have been shopping out of freezer and cupboards so 4 NSD's so far :T if I manage one today, that will be 5 (3 in a row)
Will be off on friday to my great aunt's funeral, not looking forward to that, it will be very upsetting. So will be spending then of course, with all the travelling to get there and have no idea what will happen to the GC budget while I'm away, but I'm not going to worry about it till I get back, keep up the good work guys.

hi all
Well lost the plot totally over the last 2 months so i am starting again with avengence. So MRS M put me down for £200 this month please. So far i have spent £127.00 at Costco, Tesco & Lidl. so this is going to be a challenge as we have just moved and our mortage has gone up by £380, so tht has to been trimmed off from somewhere but, i worth every penny as the new house is fantastic.
Good luck all.

I had a disaster yesterday in that I went to get the chicken out to make paella and found that it had gone off. I was very annoyed with myself for wasting food. I was intending to have a NSD, but then ran out of dishwasher tablets so ended up spending £9.29 in Lidl to recover the lost meal. It's funny though, a small pack of creme desserts fell in to my trolley!First Direct Loan @ 7.9% £13,076.03/£20,250

NSD for me today, yesterday I did my first shop of the month at Mr M. DH was talking about the organic veg box scheme, so for something to do I wrote down the current contents of a £10 organic F&V box through Mr T and priced as much as I could up in Mr M. Some things I couldn't get organic prices for, and some things I was able to get UK produce where the veg box listed something else, but the comparison costs were:
F&V organic box from Mr T £10
(Mostly) organic produce from Mr M (and as much as possible from the UK) £10.17.
Alright, Mr M currently have 25% off all organic produce which helped the pricing, but I found it an interesting thing to do although DH said I must've looked a bit like a spy going round writing down prices!
NSD on Monday too, youngest son is away so it meant we had milk left! So I treated myself to four cookery books from Amazon, which will be used for my future meal planning. DH is all for us trying new things, hurrah!
Hope everyone's doing okay(((hugs)))

Hi everyone - not been on since Monday so been reading all the posts and catching up today. Have updated my total which is now looking a bit scary but that's because I've been out and bought all my dried fruit etc to make my Xmas goodies1:D Made my Xmas Cake today and have the Xmas Mincemeat soaking overnight as we speak ready to go in the oven tomorrow.;) Next week I shall make my Xmas Puds.
Dinner last night was a Sausage Casserole that I put together myself, just sausages, onions, chopped toms, herbs and mushrooms and served it with some HM Bubble & Squeak - usually only have this Boxing Day but Cabbage was on special in Co-op and had some leftover mash in the freezer so hey presto! The rest of the Cabbage is going to be made into some Coleslaw tomorrow.;)
Tonight we are having a Chicken Casserole with celery, onions, mushrooms & bacon thrown in and some potato wedges on the side.;) Not doing a pudding tonight as we are swamped with cakes/muffins that we made on Monday.
Have picked some Green tomatoes from the Greenhouse and put them on the Windowsill in the kitchen in the hope that they will ripen quicker as will need some for Saturday as we have my Sister/Brother-in-law and their 3 kids coming for Dinner so 9 hungry people to feed.
Hope everyone having a good start to their September GC.:D"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

Edit: Made bread by hand today as I thought I'd save on electricity and haven't baked by hand for years. All the world and his wife wanted me to do something else so although I started it at 12 noon it's only just baking now. Might turn out like a brick! Also made cheese scones but in such a rush I forgot the cheese. Pulled them out of the oven after they'd been in for about 1 min and grated cheese over the top. Turned out OK thank goodness.

ok - i think i might cry.
Got home and went to freezer in garage only to find that it was switched off and smelt vile. I think 2 and a half weeks ago when dad switched off the lawnmower he also switched off the frezeer!!!.
Oh sugar! That's torn it. Shall I keep your seat warm here while you are busy restocking? (huggy)
