Do they come to your house? Do they get your cheque book out of your pocket? Do they hold a gun to your head to make you sign the cheque?............No.........you do it voluntarily.......because you believe their threatening LIES.
JUST DONT PAY ANYMORE.............Simples.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0 -
Anyone worried about their financial commitments to Diamond Resorts might be interested in joining the company as a Human Resources person at their UK headquarters address at Citrus House, Caton Road, Lancaster LA1 3UA.
Diamond Resorts clearly prides itself on customer care so it's not surprising it operates a personnel department which shows similar regard to its employees, all of whom are steeped in the ethos of a fair day's work for a fair day's pay from a company amongst the fairest of them all.
The salary is £20,000 to £22,000:
We are looking to recruit a highly experienced and motivated Human Resources Officer for a forward thinking, fast growing Global Vacation Ownership Company. Reporting to the HR Specialist you will be part of a close knit team. You will manage all HR administration and provide support and advice to managers according to company procedures, policies, employment law and best practice.
and job satisfaction is high on account of customer satisfaction being so high.
Ooops. Correction. Apparently the job has now been filled.
Somebody decided to accept points instead of £s as a salary.
Although the chances of Diamond Resorts providing any kind of customer service department in future remains zero, there may be vacancies in the Department of Daft Letter Writers who issue unsustainable demands for more money to people who they believe won't simply tear up the correspondence.0 -
I know its a bit late but I wanted to get some balance to the replies. i am a Diamond Points Owner (bought at a freebie) so have visited lots of resorts. The offer is genuine as it is a means of getting you to a sales opportunity. In my experience Diamond is a well run company, sure you can get overzealous salesmen but you should get your free holiday, you only have to stay calm and say no if you don;t want to buy.
Since we retired my wife have been on about 30 freebies with various companies and have differing experiences the shortest presentation was 10 minutes (never found out the price) the longest 4 hours plus. Some have been very pleasant some less so BUT we have always had the free fholiday sometimes including flights.
You have to decide wether a free holiday is worth a half day experience which you may or may or not enjoy. We always approach them on the basis that if we like the product we will buy - if not we wont.
Suffice to say we have bought a couple and have no regrets.
There are a lot of cowboys out there but I don;t think Diamond fits that bill.0 -

Trust me they do.
They are IMO a complete scam and use borderline illegal sales tactics to get you to sign up to their horrific lifelong commitment of a "product" that causes many people misery and financial worry.
Avoid Diamond at all costs!!!!!!!0 -
timeshare had in the past been a good way to holiday, the problem started when diamond bought in to it, the prices doubled, you didnt get the holidays you wanted, then you try to sell due to job loss no chance, cant even give this away, this was sold to us as an investment its been on ebay for £1 no sale,we have been told lie after lie, people offer to sell for you for an up front fee, then you are told points are the way forward swap the timeshare for points only cost you £8,000,told by diamond only way out is death, and dont forget to send in certificate.so its a great company to have dealings with.
we have now joined the thousands who have had enough and have sent back our certificate with letters of resignation, but know we wont get a reply, only threats, but we know we are not alone with this, only need to read the mirror blogs and this site to see, good luck to the chap who seems to get some free holidays with them just dont buy into it, trouble starts when you want out.thanks to the all the people above who have given us the hope to get out.0 -

Then why don't you simply ask them to take your old unwanted rubbish back again??

Maybe you started the bidding too high at £0.99p
Has the reality of what you have got yourself embroiled in started to sink in yet??
Lets keep an eye on that auction to see how many people flock to get chained to the scam for the rest of their life.0 -

Not sure why you feel you have to insult me personally. My reply was to the question about Freebie holidays and my experience and was perfectly balanced and honest, You have now turned it into a debate about leaving your contract. Yes you sign in for life atnd Yes Diamond do not have an exit strategy, but that is what you get yourself into. It doesn't devalue the product - you have to make a value judgement at the time you sign,
Yes I am offering aweek on ebay as you worked out (although this is irrelevant to the thread). If you bother to read my ebay ad you will see that I have a number of Timeshares (not all Diamond). I am selling this particular week for a nominal sum because that is virtually what I paid for it in an auction, I can't fit the holiday weeks in as I have bought too many it is nothing to do with maintenace fees.
One final point all of you people who are trying (I presume) to leave timeshare will never do so if you continually run down what can be a great product. I repeat I know of loads of scams but my experience has generally been good.
Lets keep a degree of balance and lay off the insults.0 -

I bought it in an auction...............And a flying pig,
Just answer me this.....If you bought in an auction,is it registered in your name?,how many hundreds of pounds did it cost you to register your name on the title?...
If you have too many, how many annual maintenance charges are you paying....this must be costing you thousands of pounds every year.........and the bids start a £1..and for that reason i am out.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0
