sorry but definitely £10,300 for a basic 5,000 points

Sorry, are you implying that roughandready may not know what he's talking about even though he works for this fantastic company?

Mind you, he's already demonstrated he doesn't know the difference between weather/whether, after/have to, prizes/gifts and independent/DRI so whats and extra decimal place to him in this discussion.......... no wonder he won't answer my questions about lifetime costs and how much he has personally invested in DRI.

mpython your a funny lad you. insulting my English, This is a forum not an English assessment. At the end of the day i have been there to enlighten people about the promotions that we are running as some genuine people are more interested in finding out what happens on the day.
And so what i had a missunderstanding about the prices of the timeshare and as you will see in my previous posts i have nothing to do with the points system so mpython if your going to insult me on just my English then more fool you as this is a open forum about Diamond Resorts. and there is people in this forum asking about there preview days to the resorts.

I really think you're a bit pathetic the way you use your ammo to slag off me when i have never said anything to you that is inclining any of your intelligence so if you want to be like a baby coming up with lame things then carry on but it has nothing to do with the company at all.

Also i myself pay my own annual fee to be a member but i also get the same offers as everyone else except i dont get as much choice in when to take my holidays as i have commitment to work. I did however get 60% off my first holiday i took as one of my benefits of been an employee. Appart from that what i pay is no concern to yourself. And i also dont know how long i am going o have my membership for before you ask.

    thanks

  • Having paid for a sampler package several months ago by credit card, would it have been possible to cancel the day after by alerting the credit card company? Did I have a right to cancel at all at any stage?

Yes, get onto you cc company and ask for either a chargeback or a section 75 refund.

go for a chargeback first as it's 'easier' to do than a 'section 75' claim.

chargebacks do have a time limit........60/90?? days iirc
  • I was told by a government backed credit consumer rights organisation that you can't cancel a club point system operated timeshare. Even if the credit card company allow you to cancel, Diamond would pursue for losses.
  • It does say that the agreement is uncancellable.
  • Has any one been able to get their money back following being taken in by diamond resorts spiel after the 14 day period. Think i've fallen for this. ! Can any one advise how to get out. bought on their buy now pay later deal that is coming to an end this month. so haven't paid them any money to date but credit companies will want payment. Have communicated with timeshare.org.uk. Chair person of this sent support and advice but now find out there has been a court case taken against him!! Have also asked advice from consumer direct awaiting reply from them.

My step-father and mum go on these 'freebie' trips (their words not mine) several times a year - my step-father can be quite overbearing himself, he is never actually willing to succumb to the high pressure sales pitches - but they do take half aday out to listen to the waffle.
Personally we were offered a timeshare on our honeymoon - we are so much more gullible and we signed up, they convinced us we would be mad not to, then we returned to our room going what the F have we done? I was in tears. They let us cancel it but only after my hubby explained how they had ruined our honeymoon.
They are most certainly not for us but Mum and her hubby seem to enjoy them!
