Morning all - haven't been on here for a while so need to catch up with all your doings. Have been frantically trying to get house (and me!) in some sort of order before sch**l starts next week. Never mind, it's the final term - and then I'll be free every day!!!!
Grotty grey day here, but hopefully washing will dry outside at least. ((HUGS)) to all in need.

Welcome to Webitha - glad you have joined us!

Poppy - I'll buy some geranium oil next time I go shopping! The soapnuts did a good job by the way and didn't stain the little bag they were in. I think I put more drops of lemon essential oil in than I needed to - the washing smells delicious!

Stef - that must have been a heck of a shock to you, hearing about listeria. Fingers are well and truly crossed for your DD.

    (((Hugs))) to Mrs Mix's DD.

    Well, back to the paperwork!

    Morning all!

Hugs to everyone in need, esp Frugalswan, hope it all gets sorted out and you find somewhere lovely soon, and Aussie's dgs, glad to hear he's improving and will be home soon, btw yuk to the cat poo!

Beth - I thought you were meant to be having a rest?! Can I ask which market you go to, I don't live that far from you, just across the levels, I see the Tor when I walk the hound! I'd really like to find a good fruit and veg market, I like Wells on a Saturday, but that's really for stuff like cheese, salami and olives.

Need to have a quick whizz round, proper sort out will have to wait till the troops all return to school, but might do a bit of black bagging later of junk and yet more clothes! dd2 and dd3 have been making things from old clothes, dd3 is hopping about wearing sleeves from an old cardi as leg warmers as I type lol!

Can't remember what's for dinner, will have to look at the menu planner, no idea about lunch, girls are just having brekkie now!

dd3 picked some lovely apples from our tiny tree, think I only planted it the summer before last, so quite pleased that it's fruiting so well already.

Got home early last night and spent an hour browsing the special occasions and celebrations thread, now planning a journal jar for my best female friend and dd1, flannel or sock cupcakes for dd1 and dd2's friends, a survival kit for ds and assorted male friends, and ordered some racing grannies from play.com for £1.99 as a stocking filler or secret santa pressie! Today the Golden Compass ps2 game arrived, thought it might not get here as was only £1.50 (I think) from W H Smith, expected them to say it was a mistake and cancel the order! But anyway, it'll make a nice pressie for dd1 as she has read the books. Starting to feel vaguely organised about Christmas now!

Hope everyone has a lovely day xx

Morning all (just lol), Hope everyone is doing well.
Not much on today, need to take DS to clinic later and get him weighed  . Hoping for a NSD grocery wise, and think will spend some time x stitching later. Maybe make some nice baked stuff too, but not sure what yet, maybe some sort of muffins or scones ? (hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ). Have also cleaned the kitchen (strangely enough I did this, then joine the flylady thread to find this was the first thing on todays list!). Cleaned the windows inside and out yesterday and the doors too (DH helped when he arrived home to find me up a ladder outside the back living room window!) so think thats why am a bit tired. Need to sit down and make a list of what else I want to do this week too. Meal plans are done for this and next week, shopping list will be easy as we won't need much. Think oven cleaning, baking, curtain/lampshade hoovering are high on the list, as is Christmas present list too!
Lovely weather again today, but not enough washing for a load so leaving that. Will need to do nappies (again) as DS has a bit of a dodgy rear end at the moment (so nappies need to be cleaned pretty sharpish!). So sorry if tmi for you all.
Ok, take care everyone and hope to pop on again later.

Have just washed my hair, had shower and in the top and trousers from Marks I bought yesterday!!!

Taking DD(14) into Leeds to look for school shoes - Oh Joy!!!

Will treat her to Nando's for lunch and might buy myself a pair of shoes while we are out. The footglove ones from M and S are really comfortable and not too frumpy!!!!

Waiting for 20 mins for washing machine to finish so I can hang stuff out before we go.

    Hugs to everyone

  • Hi Guys!

    Hope everyone is well.

Health isnt too good again ATM but trying to muddle through. Just waiting for my nurse to come out for an injection and blood tests-she is normally here by 11am at the latest but can be up to 1pm...hoping she is still coming.

Havent seen much of DD and she is back out with friends this afternoon and evening, then her friend is here tomorrow for a sleepover before they start back at school next Tuesday. Have bought the items she needed for school (2 x blouses and 1 skirt)....they have a different skirt in year 9:confused: ...so that little lot was £55.00, then her school shoes were another £38 but look sturdy. She is very heavy on her feet. Have been squirreling away £20pm for school bits so had more than enough to cover it.

Hoping that my Remoska is here today or tomorrow and will try it out. What should I try first? I have a chicken in the freezer:confused: Ive come to the conclusion that if Im not happy after a few attempts to use and I dont like it, then I will just send it back and get my money back as Lakeland offer a no quibble returns policy.

Anyway, I hope you all have a good day.

    Hello all !
Actually managed to get out down the town this morning as the kids were both away........one due back any time now, the other one later. Nice to get out and have a look round the shops, even if I didn't buy much.
Got the most chronic acid indigestion which is a right pain (literally)........don't know whether its because I had so much lemon and honey juice when I was suffering from my cold the other week
On top of that, I heard this morning that our dentist (the only one in our town) has put his practise up for sale. A company are interested providing they can get NHS funding, failing that, our dentist will carry on but will have to be 'private'........ As one of these people who seem to have on going dental problems this is one worry I could do without.
Oh well, at least we'll have a dentist, one way or another.............otherwise I would be in a state of panic.

Hope you have a good day, your problems are few, and hugs ((((((:o ))))) to all who need them
