Just visited my local Asda today and this is down from the original price of £89.97 to £69.97, a saving of 20 quid and good value imo. Be quick though, as I don't know how long this offer will last.
Cyberhome dvd recorder0 -
Got one of these too! fantastic, only problem i am having (if it is a problem) is that i have to select the source everytime i want to record, is this how it is? or is there a way to store the source selcted, so i don't have to do it all the time?
Thanks for any help!0 -
This is my first DVD recorder and this Cyberhome from Asda is great for the price and easy to use. Ive already started copying my video tapes to Dvd with it.
I dont like the remote control though. It and the buttons are very small and I often end up getting a double press instead of one.
The issue with having to select the recording source each time is a bit of a pain. It would have been much better if it remembered your last selection.0 -
sorry to be dim but is it also a dvd player as i already have a good dolby 5-1 dvdplayer and not really knowing what to buy . I am running a sky box , dvd player and video through a scart changer box . so what can any one sugest i get .0

Yes it plays dvd's as well as recording, It plays everything aswell, even .avi clip on CD's!!!
you can transfer all your videos to dvd and then do away with your video and maybe put your existing dvd player in the bedroom?0 -
Bought this a few days ago, it will be going back, hopefully because i have a faulty one and not because its standard:
when i select ext1 as source (sky+) it apears with sound but sound goes offf shortly if i open dvd drive it goes on and close it it goes off again very randon I suspect a fault
Other thing I i transfered so camcorder footage using the Ilink input very easy and ideal, the first i did only did one as a test finalised disc and yup worked fine
next I put in a couple of clips finalised it and it wont work in pc or dvd player
hopefully exchanging it will resolve all0 -
I'm on my second machine and am still having problems. In fact I'm having the same problem with the second one that I had with the first. The colour is washed out/muted. No matter how I adjust the saturation, contrast and brightness controls I cannot get it right. It's not just on recordings made by the machine but when playing pre-recorded ones as well. Is there some other control I should be adjusting?0

I had a similar problem phoned up the "advise line" they said swap the scarts around back of the TV i did and seems to have solved the muting, but you still have to keep a disc in the player0 -
NOWSE check your scart cables one by one by connecting each one to a known working video (assuming you have a video) and the other end to the tv. If all ok, check they are plugged firmly into the correct sockets. i.e output from dvd recorder into input of tv. Its easy to plug a scart cable into the wrong socket i.e you dont want to connect an input to an input.
If all thats ok, i would say its a setting somewhere.Try getting to the picture settings on the tv or recorder and adjusting the PAL or scart settings. Sorry cant be more specific.0 -
