Cyberhome 1600 DVD Recorder is on sale at my local Asda (Great Barr, Birmingham) for £68.94.
I know it's not as cheap as the recent £59.99 offer, but it's still reduced from £89.99.
Official Note:
Asda has said there is plenty of stock available and that these are available nationwide. The price will stay at £68.94 until stocks run out

I've just seen the Cyberhome DVD Recorder in my local (Warrington Westbrook) Asda reduced to £68.94. I never saw it reduced while the last thread was going, and there were about half a dozen on the shelf

Asda are advertising a DVD recorder and the screen shots show a cyberhome, so looks like a national thing, anyone know which one is in the shops?:j0

Got one in ASDA Watford yesterday. They are still at the bargain price of £59.95 . Had about 20 left. On the last thread, people mentioned that it can also record using DVD-R and DVD-RW. Well, tried a DVD-R last night and it worked without a hitch. :j0

As this DVD offer is now being advertised on TV, perhaps its now available in all Asda stores!0

Yep, just seen the ad on TV - looks like it's a permanent "roll-back" and is likely to trigger price cuts elsewhere so keep your eyes peeled. Can't be long before DVD recorders drop below 50 quid and you won't need to pay more than £100 for a top spec onesallysaver wrote:As this DVD offer is now being advertised on TV, perhaps its now available in all Asda stores!
(in the same ad, they were advertising 128Mb MP3 players for £14.99 - not quite a price breakthrough as they have been that price for a while at play.com) :cool:0 -

certainly seems all these things are dropping in price nicely now - all I need now is for twin-tuner hard disk recorders to drop down to sub £100 and I'll be happy

Just picked one up and am now off to have a play with it.Marillion - A Better Way of Life.0 -
Only problem with the cyberhome is that is has no RGB input, only s-video and composite input on the scart, but still fine for transferring from video tapes.0

does this mean that you can't record from freeview/digital?0 -

Yes, but the picture quality will be inferior to the RGB signal fed to the TV.
For an idea of the difference, your freeview box should have a menu option to switch the TV output between RGB and composite/CVBS/PAL. Alter the setting and you should see the difference.0
