unfortunatly theres no videoplus but the timer is pretty straightforward, just a matter of putting date, time ,speed, etc much the same as a vcr.

Can someone tell me if this is the 'mu' or 'zu' model?
I've been reading up about this recorder here and the two model numbers seem to have different compatibility issues.0 -

What's the the recording quality like from Sky Digital?0

I returned my recoeder today and got a new one - it does play divx on cds and it alot quieter - looks llike I got a dodgey one.
I am however having problems with playback on bits I have recorded - the playback is jerky and really poor on DVD+R and on DVD RW I can't seem to playback on my PC at all - the dvd player won't recognise the disk
Need to play some more I feel
Update - have worked out that you need to 'finalise' the disk before being able to play it elsewhere. SP quality is good.
One thing I haven't worked out is how to edit chapters - from the manual it looks easy but the options aren't enabl;ed when I try.No links in signatures please.0 -
Can anyone who bought this model tell me if they are able to edit chapters? I can record from Sky but when I go to edit mode the options for editing are greyed out - only rename and delete are availble. No links in signatures please.0

Has Finalising the disc also resolved the jerkiness? I have the same jerky problem which drove my other half mental when she tried to watch the X-Factor I'd recorded for her.Marillion - A Better Way of Life.0 -
