Hi all,
I remember reading a few weeks ago someone posted a recipe for Tortilla and mince. It sounded lovely, so in my Tesco delivery I added Tortilla and mince beef, but now can't for the life of me find the recipe! so typical of me!
Can anyone post a nice tasty recipe please. My larder is fairly full, so hopefully I can make near enough anything you post.
Many thanks0 -

In my house we have wraps and fajitas at least once a week. It's a good meal-out-of-the-freezer that guests think you have slaved over :-)
Knock up a batch of chilli con carne (or veg if you're veggie), or fajitas (can give you the recipe for both of these if you like), or defrost the one you made last week.
Heat up the tortillas in the oven or in the microwave according to instructions.
stick it all on the table and let people roll their own, along with any or all of the following:
grated cheese
yoghurt or sour cream
guacamole or slices of avocado
pickled jalapenos
refried beans
Whatever else you have lying around that might be nice!
I warn you though - the chilli tends to run out of the end of the wraps, so don't wear your best shirt!
Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.0 -
I like the cheese and bean wrap that Tesco does. I've yet to recreate it at home but has the following ingredients...
plain tortilla
mixed leaf (iceberg lettuce and lollo rosso)
mayonnaise
flageolet beans
red kidney beans
sweetcorn
soured cream
lowfat cheese
red cheddar cheese
white cheddar cheese
iceberg lettuce
cornflour
vegetable oil
water
sweet paprika
Take it the cornflour, water etc is made to bind the whole thing together. No idea of quantities. I'd just grate a bunch of the stuff, bar the cornflour, water etc and mix it altogether and wrap it up in the tortilla.
Re the panninis. I usually just slice them in half. I mix a bit of pesto with a bit of mayo, spread on top of pannini, then put on slices of mozarella, sundried tomatoes, some basil and some olives and a little bit of garlic. Toast in the oven at a reasonable temp, 180oC until everything is well melted and toasted.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. fold in the sides about an inch
then roll from the bottom tightly
then cut through middle of roll to make 2
cos you fold in the sides it holds the filling in when eating
