    thanks for the tips..

yes at the moment i just wrap in foil, but then when i eat it - it all falls about the place, just like dixie dean!

just curious - how do people roll theirs? do you fold up the bottom then fold in both sides? or do you roll it several times? silly really i know!

mayo mixed with a little lime pickle, sliced cooked meat & salad leaves

    left-over fajitas & greek yogurt

mayo with horseradish sauce, roast beef, salad

along the same lines as Nelski's idea ... cold meat, thinly sliced cheddar, roll up & put on the George Foreman for 3-4 minutes (making sure the open end, if you've left one, is up) or in a dry pan for a couple of minutes each side

folding? we usually only eat them at home, so just fold up the bottom & then roll from one side (still get in a mess though )

I watched them do it in a sanwdich bar, they folded up the top & bottom, then rolled from one side, then cut it in half diagonally
but the wraps they had seemed a lot more 'flexible' than the ones you can buy

cling film the night before seems to worth a try.

My first ones were with Asda tortillas, which seems to be abit on the dryside so kept breaking up when trying to roll, but bought some sainsburys ones last nite - just had it for lunch - they are very nice and soft and roll better and actually taste better! (luckily they were on offer for 2 pks for £1.60)

some of those options sound delish, thks

that's interesting, I've often had to warm the wraps to get them to fold without breaking. I usually get Tesco/Asda/Lidl's, so I'll see if I can get hold of some of the Sainsbury's to try :)

this works out quite cheaply if you get your spices from an Asian shop

    1 Tablespoon ground cummin
    1 Tablespoon paprika
    1/2 - 1 teaspoon chilli powder
    1 Tablespoon turmeric
1/2 - 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (if using ready-ground, halve the amount)
1-2 teaspoons salt (try it with less first)
3 cloves garlic, peeled & mashed to pulp
    6 Tablespoons lemon juice
3-6 chicken breast fillets, cut into serving-sized pieces
    3 Tablespoons oil

in a bowl, mix everything except chicken
add chicken & mix to coat with marinade
refrigerate & leave at least 3 hours, or overnight if you can
grill under high heat till chicken is done (or George Foreman it)
serve with lemon/lime wedges, indian bread, salad & yogurt

or really nice in a wrap with lime pickle mayo & salad :D

adapted from a Madhur Jaffrey recipe

to keep my little ones together, i wrap them tightly in clingfilm and leave them in the fridge over night... as for recipie ideas, there's so many! the one we really like is 'bean and cheese'... cook a can of canelloni (sp?) beans, then put in a collander and run cold water over them until they cool down. mix them with grated cheese, mayo and plenty of black pepper! mmmmmm..... im hungry now!!

aren't they already cooked if their in cans so you can just open and use them?
