Use four tortillas for this recipe

Divide a tin of mixed beans in tomato sauce and a tin of pineapple between the wraps. Roll them up and put in a shallow dish, pour over a cheap jar of pasta sauce and sprinlke with grated cheese, pop in the oven for about 20 minutes gas 5. Serve on a bed of rice - scrum diddly

mmm a sort of 'burrito' type recipe then

has anyone ever made flauta's? they are small flour tortillas filled with shredded turkey (or chicken) some chilli spice and very finely minced onion and chilli that's cooked with the meat. you roll them up very tight and deep fry them really tasty

actually, i'd really like to learn to make sopapilla's mmmmmmmm they are a light and flaky dough that gets deep fried. the squares form pockets as they cook. you bite off a corner of the pocket then fill with butter and honey mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i really miss those :(

another thing to try in quesadilla's is chicken marinated in lime juice... just heavenly!

I have started doing my own wraps for lunch, but i find it difficult trying to roll them up and staying shut - when you buy them they are "together" (IYKWIM) - So whats the secret? any tips? just wondered what everyone else does?

also what does everyone put in their wraps, ive done chicken tikka n salad so far, but would be grateful for ideas!

    thanks

to keep my little ones together, i wrap them tightly in clingfilm and leave them in the fridge over night... as for recipie ideas, there's so many! the one we really like is 'bean and cheese'... cook a can of canelloni (sp?) beans, then put in a collander and run cold water over them until they cool down. mix them with grated cheese, mayo and plenty of black pepper! mmmmmm..... im hungry now!!

Dont overstuff them is basically the only tip. other than the fact that generally shop bought ones tend to have a more...gooey, for want of a better word, filling and this helps hold it together. I just let then fall apart and end up with sauce and food all over my face. But then I'm a pig! Anything is good really for fillings. Tuna and sweetcorn with mayo would hold together quite well, you can do chilli (reduce the sauce so its almost dry, or you end up looking like me or a 9 month old baby).

Not a roll Shez but I do these and they are gorgeous.

Put grated cheese and some oniions and peppers on a wrap. Put another wrap on top and press down hard. dry fry until the cheese has melted then cut into quarters.

    Gorg hot or cold.:j

Oh yeah wrapping in clingfilm/tin foil but thats a bit of a faff. Just get in there. Roast pepers, onions and mushrooms with a bit of garlic and balsamic.

another way to keep them together is just to skewer them with a cocktail stick...

They're also nice done like a pizza - bung the toppings on and grill - then roll....yums.

My fav one of those is tuna, cherry toms and cheese.

My DD's have wraps for lunch most days, I make them the night before - cling film and fridge - seems to work.
