Weather not been too bad considering, at least it has been dryish the last few days. Had a lovely time in the Cotswolds, and at Broughton Castle for the last few days.

1 lb. chopped green tomatoes
1 lb. chopped cooking apples
½ lb. chopped sultanas
¼ lb. chopped onions
½ lb. sugar (granulated is fine)
½ tsp ground ginger
Pinch of salt
1 chilli finely chopped (You can skip this if you want a more traditional recipe)- Put the vinegar and demerara sugar in a pan and heat gently until sugar melts.
- Add all the other ingredients
- Bring mixture to boil and cook slowly stirring all the time until it thickens.
I do have another one, but can't find the peice of paper with it on so will post later on for you.

Goodness me!!! How on earth did you fit all that in? I seem to be able to either DO old style stuff, OR come on here and talk about it but I never have time for both, never mind Facebook as well. It's the reason I just don't seem to have time to post on here anymore. You must be much better at multitasking than me.
Wantobesybill is little bear your child?
Aussielass I'm very sorry about your grandson. What were they thinking????
Hugs to everyone.
I have been very busy recently. I still look after my sister's kids sometimes but she copes very well with her Lupus so she doesn't need as much help as we thought she would.
I have been doing lots of baking over the holidays and still the tin is always empty!!!
Today was washing day so tommorrow is ironing day and so it goes on.

Then....... just happened to double check what time OH lands this evening to find it is 6.30, not 8.30. So he will have time after all to return the bit and exchange it for the right one.

I've spent so much time over this today and all for no reason other than I'm too thick to understand the 24 hour clock.
:rotfl:
Re the watercress, I made a sauce to go with salmon last week which was incredibly tasty and simple as we too have tonnes of the stuff growing.
Fry half an onion in butter, add watercress until wilted and stir in one tub of Philidelphia type cream cheese. Heat through then whizz and serve with baked salmon.

At last! Something I can tease Haribo about:T :rotfl:
Just subtract 12 not 10 from the 24 hour clock;)
That watercress sauce sounds lovely, we eat a lot of salmon, so I'll definitely try that:D Now my
moment. I thought you had to have flowing water to grow watercress:o
Is it easy to grow? I spend a fortune on those tiny plastic bags of the stuff, would definitely try to grow some if it's foolproof. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

I shall ignore your teasing madam.

Yes, you just grow it in a pot like salad leaves and it produces lovely tender shoots.
I'd definitely say it was foolproof, though wether or not it's Churchie proof is anyone's guess.
OH is home from his travels with the illusive piece of bed.
And I am slowly fading after my early start. Just off to do lunches and sweep the kitchen floor.
