Morning, I've just had a naughty in bed with Mr Twit, so that's a good start to my birthday

Happy Birthday  Whatawit
Morning everyone,
Well I've had one of those days from hell. XDIL rang late this morning, before that my day was going along nicely. Yesterday her stupid mother lit a fire outside. Nobody was keeping an eye on DGS and you guessed it. I'd say he must have tripped over and both his lovely little hands are burnt. They raced him up to the hospital & he had dressings on his hand like little boxing gloves. I'm not sure when they will be back now.
It really broke my heart as she told me he was screaming for me. I just lost my cool and let it rip saying how irresponsible they were blah blah blah. I'm still seething now. He has to go back to the hospital tomorrow to change dressings and he's on strong antiobiotics & pain killers. The poor little mite. I know accidents do happen but I'm afraid I'm rather judgemental
when it comes to her family. But anyway I'm just glad it's not as bad as it might have been & he will heal.
I don't usually rant. But I get a bit frustrated. If it was up to me he would be on his way back here now.
Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Happy Birthday whatatwit:beer: Hope it's a good one:D
Well it started nice and sunny here, but now it's all dull and overcast:rolleyes: What else do we expect on a Bank Holiday?:D
I've got a pile of ironing to do, and that's before I do another washload or two.
I had planned to do a load of deadheading in the garden, but given how chilly it feels, I think I'll stay in and bake instead:D
sistercas, enjoy London. I think it's only when we entertain visitors that we become more aware of all the wonderful things to see and do on our doorstep. Hope you get a bright clear day for the eye, then the views are amazing.
Haribo, hope you get the beds sorted quickly. It's usually me that happens to.;)
Well best get started, .........after one more coffee:rotfl:
Enjoy your days.

Aussie, so sorry about DGS. You rant away, what a load of stupid ********* they are:mad: Accidents are one thing, total carelessness is another. Poor lamb, hope he's better soon. ((((((hugs)))) to you both:kisses3:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Good morning!
Whatatwit - happy birthday!
Floss - thanks for the idea about chilli strings, they'd be really good, will give it a go as soon as I find some string lol!
Hope everyone has a good bank hol, going out for lunch later but think that's all that's planned. Will put some more chillis and toms in the dehydrator before we go out, and give the sc a good scrub, the hm yoghurt I tried in there was a disaster! Best find the big flask and have another go in there! xGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

Good morning all! :hello:
We seem to be a bit thin on the ground this morning, but then it is a Bank Holiday....Hope anyone who's off out for the day has a lovely time, and that children and weather behave themselves:D
I usually babysit DGD on Mondays, but am still recovering from holiday and journey home, but DSIL has to work today so we will be seeing DD2 and DGCs at some point. We brought them some nice wooden toys from our favourite toyshop in Honfleur
It's suddenly gone very dark here - I think it must be about to chuck it down! Typical BH weather!
Whatatwit - Happy Birthday! :bdaycake: Hope you have a good day despite your cough.
Smokybabe - so glad you like the blankets. As someone else has said, I wasn't able to help with the knitting but have been thinking of you all so much.
Mioliere - glad to hear your DS and his missus got home safely! I know how you felt, as DD2 and her then fiance (now DSIL) went to Australia for 6 weeks a few years ago and it seemed just too good to be true that they returned safely :A Hopefully you will now be able to relax a bit.
Penny_Pincher - Hope you feel a bit better today ((((HUGS)))) and that your DD enjoyed herself yesterday.
((((HUGS)))) to all who need one today.
AussieLass - so sorry to hear about poor DGS, bless his heart, what an awful thing to happen and I'm not at all surprised you're furious! DGS burnt his hands on a radiator last year and he had "boxing glove" dressings too. I've pm'd you.
WELCOME to the people who've joined/rejoined the Daily thread while I've been away.
Dinner will be some chili that I've dicovered in the freezer - thank goodness, I was afraid we were going to have to go shopping  the label says it's "1 - 2 portions" but I'm sure it'll be big enough if we have naan bread as well:D
All for now - will try to come back later to catch up.
Best wishes

Happy Birthday whatatwit!:bdaycake:
Huge ((((Hugs)))) to Aussie lass's dgs, poor little love, you rant on all you like, I would do the same! hopefully he will be back with you soon for some ninny cuddles from you.
We are still de-cluttering here ready for dd moving back in. Will have to stop soon as we have friends round for a barbecue this afternoon (if the weather holds:rolleyes:)
Right off now to make a potato salad (using home grown spuds! :j ) and see what else I can find to make up a big bowl of salad.
Have a lovely day!

Morning all, can I join the chat please ? I have been on OS for a bit now, fo the GC and also frequent some of the other boards too.
Am stuck indoors in the rain with DS (14 months) so gonna do some housework
. I wonder if any of you could tell me a good way to shift smells from a bedroom carpet (partly old age, partly 14 month old accidents!). We are gonna get him a nice new blue one in a couple of years but think it sensible to wait until he is a bit older as there will no doubt be several accidents to come!
Thanks, I will pop on again in a bit to read all your posts once I have actually done some dusting
.
