Easyjet Name Error

Hi
Have booked flights through Easyjet but just noticed that they have booked 2 flights in my name and none in my wifes.
I am sure that this is their error, will they change the name without the extortionate fees they charge?

Thanks

    6.2. Changes
6.2.1 You are not entitled to change Flight reservations once confirmed, save that names of Passengers or Flights (subject to space being available) may be changed prior to check-in for the original Flight on payment of a fee per Passenger per Flight and any difference in Fares or taxes and other charges which may be applicable at the time the change is made, subject always to the conditions in our Carrier's Regulations.

I would guess that unless you can prove it is their error, you will have to stump up for change of name and any increase in fare.

Did you book online? If so did you use Roboform or a form filler that may have filled the names in for you?

The quicker you correct this the better as when you change the name you have to pay the difference between the fare you booked at and the current fare plus the admin charge. If you book very recently that may not be much but if you booked months ago it could be quite a lot. Sorry for the bad news.

Sorry but no easy jet won't do this free of charge.

it really depends on the price of the flight price now as well

ie your flight cost you £25 and it is now £45

name difference £20 plus £20 for difference in price increase means a £40 charge.

sometimes it's cheaper to book another flight

but like spiro stated get ringing up asap

and i've copied this from neil9313, it may be of some use to you
Now here is a STD number For EJ..................01582 7000 361 ..........press one for an English speaking person!

Tip 1 if not speaking good enough English put fone down ring again. Its normally in Poland

Tip 2 If not a helpfull CSA, ring again

Tip 3 Sunday about 1pm seems a good time to get through

Did you book online or by telephone? I assume telephone when you say "they have booked". If by telephone you MIGHT manage to prove it's their mistake but it'll probably take a lot of persuasion. I'd try being very nice about it first of all, sometimes you get further with these people if you're nice about it. Otherwise it'll be a change fee and any increase in fare from the time you made the booking. Good luck!

Maybe if you are the main user of the PC a form filler would have defaulted to your details and the OP didn't manually change the name on one person's details to that of his wife?

Exactly what I was meaning, if you click on the autofill to fill someones name in it will fill in the first name in all the boxes that say first name - and if you click on the autofill after you have filled in someone elses details it will default to the person whose detail is on the autofill

That may explain the error, but unfortunately does not help with getting name changed!
