I have just been RIPPED off by Easyjet

Hi
I bought and paid for return flights for 4 people, a couple of months ago.
However, I used a members second name on the booking form instead of their first name which is on their passport.
So Easyjet have charged me £20 each way to change the name. That's fair enough but what is outrageous is they have charged me over £100 on top becuase they say the price of the fare has gone up.
I have already paid for the flight, how can they get away with it.
Well done Easyjet for keeping up with the "RIP OFF BRITIAN" campaign.
Here is what they say:
"Each change is subject to a £20.00 fee (a saving of £10.00 over the call centre)
plus any increase in flight fare, per passenger per flight.
For full details see our carrier's regulations."

that's terrible, and it shows how these so called 'budget airlines' bump up the cost at every opportunity.0

All the no frills airlines operate like this and it is in the terms and conditions that you agreed to at the time of booking.:j Debt free since 31/01/08:j

So which bit it the rip off- they charged you what they said they would?
You should've made sure you the correct name - easyjet and every other airline have this as a fairly obvious point to check when booking with them.
There's plenty of other devious things airlines do that they don't warn you about - but not this one0 -
Easyjet didn't " Rip Off " anybody .. they did what they said they would do in their Terms and Conditions that you read and agreed to before paying for the original flights.
They are not responsible for the incompetence of their customers.:rolleyes:0 -
people are so harsh, have you never made an error.the op said the £20 was fair enough punishment.it s big business covering their back s again.just don t fly with them again and let them know that and why.hope you enjoyed yourself thoughLife is short, smile while you still have teeth

Not harsh at all, just being honest, the OP clearly stated that Easyjet had " Ripped him Off "..they have not.
All budget airlines have similar Terms and Conditions, which he readilly agreed to when booking his flight.
If he wasn't happy with them, then he should have booked with another non- budget airline, of course he would have paid far more.
I have never had a problem with Easyjet.0 -
right so if a persons name on there passport is
john paul ringo (for eg)
you have booked
paul ringo
onto the flight
should you have booked
john ringo0 -
You should use the name as it is presented on the passport, nothing too difficult there surely.:rolleyes:0
