I have nearly finished the kitchen, and iced the boys cakes for them. They have eaten five each - does not bode well for bedtime.

I need to give them their tea (seems fairly pointless though) and finish the table, the oven and the fourth window ledge then the kitchen is done to a suitably shiny standard. The DR will take a lot more effort - it is still full of the Prince of Procrastinations work stuff that I can't move  .

Aww sulky rabbit Pigpen lol. He will get used to it I am sure, and if it stops him from fighting the other bunnies then that is a good thing. I am sure they are happy bunnies now :)

The other 2 keep going to the edge of their cage and looking at him all sad and soppy... I'll let them all out together later see how they get on.

Thanks for the clarification! Thought it was the cold water tank originally!

Was in your area last summer! Have family there.

Yea, didn't word it too well did I.

Ooooh, much rather be in your area - have friend in Derby and stayed there for a bit earlier in the year - I loved it, much more greenery than this dark and depressing town - It's full of Chavs and Gremlins here (sorry to anyone else from here, but you know what I mean... :D )

I have to add for a minute when I read Pigpens post I only saw the last line and felt abit stung:eek: then when Id let it all sink in I was reduced to tears:)

Sorry I havent said thanks yet Pigpen, Ive been letting your words mash abit:)
I am very, very glad I've found you all.

And I cant remember if it was dustykitten who said about going back to sleep after getting up and how demotivating it is-or was it Denisefowlers-whichever it was, maybe we should exchange mobys in code;) so we can be each others "text alarms" in the morning:rotfl: Im prone to the same thing and DF often comes in and says "babe, you HAVE to get up not coz I REALLY NEED to leave and DS is up" (Bad mummy)

    My HHC went so:
    • Finished kitchen (dishes etc)
    • Swept and mopped floor.
    • Took dining table cloth, napkins and sofa throws out of TD (will iron infront of telly tonight)
    • Went through latest recipes for supper-going to do a shepherds pie with various veg blended into sauce(DF will NOT eat veg if he knows about it:mad: ) Im also going to try reducing it all so that the mince combines into the sauce so I can use it to top some spag for DS (who will not eat anything other than cocoa (sp) and starch:mad:
    • Wiped down fridge and put some bicarb in (no old muck in there that I could see)
    • Also made humous (finally) using the ingredients list off his tescos tub-can you believe the nerve:rotfl: he actually brought home the packaging from some he bought at Tescos and asked me to look into it as my last batch was not quite right:mad:
Need to find my list-off I go.

Don't think it was me, but I'll definitly be your "text alarm buddy" if you like, coz that's what I think happened to me today - got up with hubby at 5.30am and snuck back to bed at 6.30, so didn't get up to nearly 11am - thinks that's why I have been in a bad mood all day - whoever said it is dead right! ;)

I am bored now, I am only half way round the kitchen on the first coat and I really don't think I like it now. The child in me has come out and is saying 'I want somebody else to finish it'

Dusty - you should have done before and after pix - that's why I did that when I decorated my kitchen - it spurred me on to finish it!

Another pig awful day at work today - things broken - stressed network managers etc. etc. But, finally, after about three weeks of trying and the threat of tears and tantrums this afternoon, I managed to get the next phase of my big project ready to roll. So, it'll be ready for me to crack on with it when I get back next Tuesday.

Tonight I've decided I'm going to spend an hour flying then I'm going to pamper myself. Tomorrow, I'm going as a VIP guest to Air Festival (Friday, I'm attending but also working to ensure a different VIP function goes well). So I might as well make sure I'm relaxed for tomorrow so I can pretend I'm a lady who is always invited to these things at the same time as making full use of the free food and drink ;)

I shall try on tomorrow's outfit, make sure it fits (the trousers may need taking up) then once that's sorted and pressed, do my face, do my toenails and fingernails and chill.

That sounds like a plan ladies!

Valli - glad you had fun in Ikea. If only I'd seen your post before you left I would have asked you to pick up some units for my utility room and drop them off (I'm in Hampshire, so no problems there  )! What are you going to put in your bamboo dish? It sounds just the right size for a hotspot :D

Dustykitten - either have a break for half and hour and then get back to it and finish it today (so its done once and for all), or pack up for today if you're worn out and do the rest tomorrow. After all, you're half way there already, so it'll be over soon either way.

Polkadot - great news that you're sorted out for the moment AND you've done most of today's list! Congratulations :A

I haven't made much progress today, but my Dad's here (stopping off en route from Norfolk to Devon) and has cut the hedge and mowed both the back and front lawns (twice each because the grass was so long!) :j . I did have a good go at the oven with bicarb & borax, but I think its going to be several weeks before its really clean, as there's about 20 years of grime there (it was my grandmother's oven, which moves house with me!). Luckily everything else is relatively clean due to all the TLC its been getting over the last few weeks:T

The problem with all this cleaning is that it uses every cloth and duster I own, so I have to do a hot wash about once a week! Not good for the gas bill, but probably good for the washing machine to have a proper clearout anyway.
