If we have to assume that posts are works of fiction we might as well just give up replying to them

I'm not sure about other forums here on MSE, but the money forums certainley have their fair share of dubious posts, particularly trolling form 1st time posters who concoct and then are never to be heard from again.

    Sorry to disappoint the cynics..

My solicitor has written to the club in question disputing the payments, and the Credit card company are on notice.

Have now spoken to my colleague who, independently, suffered from similar memory loss in there (despite not being drunk). He was ushered out of the club separately to me when his debit card failed, and he had no credit card. We'd been separated at this time...

I won't name the club in case any criminal investigation now follows.

Irrespective of criminal proceedings, I'm seeking to make the contract void on the grounds of intoxication, and I'll share updates with you here as they unfold. CCTV obviously has a role to play in this.

This a genuine post, and I'm particularly grateful to those who've offered useful advice and those offering support.

(Incidentally, I hadn't realised I needed to post on a daily basis to be considered genuine! I should also add that I'm only seeking advice, and not donations..)

The same thing happened to me last night (after reading your post yesterday)

Thankfully, a passing pig grew wings, and I was able to jump on it's back and fly to safety. Phew.

Well with your friend's evidence - surely the police will have something to act on now?

Hopefully, yes. (Though any drugs are, unfortunately now like to be out of our systems. We spoke to NHS Direct yesterday, and they said that Rohynol (or similar) is unlikely to be detectable >60 hours after the event.)

    But it is more evidence.
