Double glazing recommendations please (MERGED)

  • We used Harrison Glass Unit 14 Townsend Enterprise Pk

    Belfast 90 242879

Highly recommend this company replaced 3 of our double glazing units on 2 occasions
  • Have you tried squirting some silicon spray on the seals? It softens the rubber and makes it swell slightly thus making a better seal.
  • I'm looking to replace my double glazing and I would appreciate recomendations from anyone who has had work done recently. The companies I am currently considering are Getty Glass, Woburn and James Harcourt. Any good/bad experiences re these companies or any suggestion as to others I may consider?

    Thanks
    M

Try Alan at ClassClad & buy your doors direct of the guy in Balloo beside Ards Kitchens
We saved near £300 on a front door alone

Warranty wise we only bought a front door & the guy says he'll stand over it for the year. It replaced a draughty wooden door & the windows were all ok.
I only know of Alan @ Class Clad as he lives around the corner from me & is a friend of my uncles. I'll try & get you a number, otherwise call at his house where he also operates from ... its in Jubilee off the Old Belfast Road and you'll see all the vans.

I would second the recommendation for Woburn Windows. At the end of last year I purchased front and back doors and three windows from them. Speedy service in the ordering process, no hiccups with installation, workers cleared up after themselves and overall very happy with the service provided.
It doesn't matter where you live
as long as you live wherever you are!

  • I will definately be getting a quote from Woburn. As well as the feedback given here they have good feedback in other previous posts on this subject. Milko's suggestion is interesting but I would really prefer someone to supply and fit everything with a 10 year guarantee.

    Keep those suggestions coming!
