If it's acheived nothing else, I hope this thread will save other people from making the same mistake. :money:

I agree (other than it has lightened the day for a lot of people), that hopefully other people will take a touch more care when dealing with online forms

I myself had filled a form on easyjet wrong. I wanted to change my flight to the next day and so did this online. But I didn't realise that the dropdown for the arrival airport was not set to my origional destination. i was going to to Faro and the screen was set to Alicanti. Only realsed when we got to the airport and the machine wouldn't accept my ticket to Faro. Only when a rep showed me my comformation letter did I see I was going to Spain!!! So off to the Easyjet counter to fork out another £120. Now I do almost everything on-line so am pretty clued up about checking and checking again, ths one just got past me. In no way am sayng people are stupid for not filling out forms correctly, but it does happen, and probably more often than people on here think.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
  • Well It Would Seem That I Have Made Two Mistakes.

    1. Not Getting In Touch With The Friend To Check To See If He Is Realy Who He Says He Is?

    2. The Realy Big Mistake Was To Post A Warning To Others On This Forum.

I Will Know Better Next Time.

    you didn't give a warning

you stated that you had been
    ripped off

in your title it says it

and in your 1st post, there was a mention of your mistake then a rant about, the fact that your mistake cost you.

people just pointed out to you the facts, which it seems that you had difficulty in understand.

oh wow.... you've resorted to name calling.

I think people used to do that when they were about TWELVE..

Also Why The Odd Capitals. Maybe You Need English Lessons As Well As Form Filling Lessons! ;)
  • This may be off at a bit of a tangent but 2 years ago booked 10 flights with ryanair, dont get excited I am not going to slag them off. Any way 2 people dropped out and 2 more wanted to go so I enquired about name changes and found it was cheaper to book 2 new seats.
Still seems a bit strange that the flight would have 2 empty seats rather than ryanair change the names for less than the cost of the booking and sell the 2 spare seats to someone else.

Indeed the OP does seem to have difficulty in operating a keyboard, the real reason for this thread in the first place.;)

Like the OP, I would have been furious if this had happened to me. I would have stamped about and had a jolly good shout and swear, calling EasyJet all the names under the sun.

But really I would have been hopping mad with myself, not the airline.

I booked an apartment in Italy earlier this year. As I didn't read the T&Cs (hardly ever do :o) I had to fork out for a rather nasty 'late arrival' fee. If I had read the T&Cs I would have known that if you arrive after 10pm you get stung. But it was my fault, and I took it on the chin.
  • Hey listen No Spam most of us make mistakes from time to time and you know that you made one when booking. I understand your gripe completely and I for one am grateful for posts like yours because it makes me much more aware of these crazy unworthy charges. Its mostly the reason I read stuff like this, it really helps. I also would love to post stuff but I do think twice because of the slanging matches that start.

Anyhow, I hope my spelling was ok :rotfl: :rotfl:

i was half asleep when i first posted.. i've now realised that the OP thinks that the name he's given me

suites me... rather than suits me...

shall i go to DFS then? ;)
