Just got the following email a few minutes ago:

    " Hi,

Thanks for your recent order from the ASDA Groceries website.

We'd love to know about your experience so that we can continue to make improvements to our service. Please answer our short survey about your recent delivery (it'll only take a minute or two)."

    Ahem. *chortle*

Just done it. There's no room for comments. Pah.

They really are dealing with this in a poor manner.

After my call from Head Office yesterday telling me they had cancelled the order and that I was to get £5 off + Free Delivery from my next order the van still turned up with my order! - I turned them away and emailed them to find out when my voucher would be applied and to ask why the driver still tried to deliver my order and they have just replied with a generic, sorry about the confusion over the £75 evoucher, no response to the questions whatsoever, will have to speak to them tomorrow on the phone as can't get any sense out of them over the email.
  • We just took the voucher, no one contacted us or said anything, the amount from the bank is correct. Can they take more money from the bank? surely not if we havent authorised it?

I'm sure they could try but if they did manage to take more money you could complain to the bank and they could get it back for you as it would be an unauthorised transaction.
  • Thats right, and its a credit card so we could get the money back. I cant see how they can take money if it is unauthorised anyway. If you are undercharged in a shop for an item, once you have paid for that item it is tough luck, legally its yours, lets hope they know the law!

I did my normal weekly shop on saturday and had the £75 evoucher credited to my account.. didn't realise it was an error/glitch until ASDA phoned me on tuesday morning prior to delivery to tell me it was a mistake. As i'd only placed my normal order I didn't cancel it and just accepted the free delivery and £5 evoucher as a gesture of goodwill. Fast forward to today.. I've just placed another order for party supplies from ASDA to be delivered tomorrow; there was no £5 evoucher on the account and a quick check of my bank account revealed that they only actually took the discounted/glitch £44 from my account on Tuesday. So, what to do? Do I phone them and tell them, do I hope they don't try and take the remaining £75 at a later date? I've phoned the bank who have confirmed there are no payments pending on the account.
    Thanks :)

They still haven't credited the £5 voucher to my account or refunded my delivery charges. They are a disgrace.

    CHECK YOUR BANKS !!!!!!

I rejected my order on Sunday 13th June on the doorstep after getting a call from the store prior to delivery, Im still waiting for the refund of the amount I was due to pay aftr the £75 code. This evening, checking my bank, the £75 has been debited from my account. Phoned the bank, not much help apart from telling me to ring Asda and if I think its fraudulent to give them a call back tomorrow.
I rang Asda, she was very apologetic, said it was done by my local store would get her manager to ring me back this evening !!
    One fuming customer here !!!
